4. Prepare the loose and breathable soil, put the germinated desert roses into the soil, and sprinkle a layer of sand on the surface of the basin soil, so that the bud point of the seed is up.

Desert roses are raised in this way, so that they can grow and blossom.

1. The soil is loose and ventilated.

If you want desert roses to grow well, the soil must be loose and breathable, such as peat soil, coconut bran, perlite, river sand and so on. If it is a small seedling, you can use peat soil and perlite according to 3:1; if it is a large seedling, you can use coconut bran and perlite according to the proportion of 2:1.

2. Bask in the sun

Desert roses like to bask in the sun, it is best to keep them on the south balcony or south windowsill, if the light is not enough, it will lead to plant thinness and affect flowering. If the desert rose has blossomed, it can be shaded properly, which will make its flowers darker and prolong the flowering time of a single flower.

3. Watering should be cautious

Desert rose seedling stage, the root system is relatively weak, at this time to ensure that the basin soil is moist; wait until the basin soil has completely dried before watering, generally choose morning or evening, winter can choose noon watering.

During the growing period of desert roses, you need to apply more nitrogen fertilizer, about once every 10 days, or you can mix some fertilizer in the soil as base fertilizer. Wait until before flowering, spray some potassium dihydrogen phosphate on the leaves, and then irrigate the roots, so that desert roses can bloom more!

2. Cut off the rotting roots of desert roses with a knife, and cut off all the rotten parts, otherwise it is easy to get infected. After cutting off, you can apply some carbendazim powder to the wound for sterilization and disinfection.

3. Let the cut of the desert rose dry. It will take about 20 days to dry, and then prepare the root of the hair in the pot.

4. Prepare loose and breathable nutritious soil, add a layer of sand to the soil, and pot the desert rose. It will only take about a week or so for the desert rose to grow roots again!

Desert roses cut with one knife and produce five-color flowers in a pot!

If it is a native desert rose, basically all the flowers are monochrome. If you want to make a plant colorful, you can try the method of grafting!

1. Prepare the materials needed for grafting: several different varieties of desert roses, sharp knives, plastic film, rubber bands.

2. Grafting can be done by flat grafting, which can be operated at a temperature above 20 ℃. The scion is a little thinner than the rootstock, and the scion with terminal bud can be selected. When grafting, the wound of the branch will reveal mucus, and the lower end of the branch can be soaked in clean water for a few minutes, so as to improve the adhesion rate of grafting.

3. After grafting, plastic bags are tied up at the interface and maintained in a cool and ventilated place. Basically, the wound can heal in 7-10 days. When the new buds are sent out, just untie the plastic bag.

4. The desert rose grafted in this way can blossom in several colors.
