Last Updated: 2024/11/05, I don't know if any flower friends have ever experienced this, that is, the gardenias bought in the flower market have the most buds, take them home and raise them for a while, not to mention that the buds are all open, and some of them have never bloomed. Why.

I don't know if any flower friend has ever experienced this, that is, the gardenia bought in the flower market, the gardenia selected above is the most buds, take home for a while, not to mention the buds are all open, some Leng is not out, why?

In fact, many people raise gardenia, most of the time, before the flower blossoms, the bud falls out, and some think that even if the bud is dropped, you can finally enjoy the green leaves. This is not, the leaves are also yellow, it is so sad that you want to cry!

The habit of Gardenia jasminoides is like this, it likes warm and humid environment, suitable temperature for growth is 18-28 ℃, like light, but also resistant to semi-shade, strong light, high temperature, overwatering and so on are easy to cause yellow leaves and flower buds.

In short, gardenia is very easy to yellow leaves and bud, one of the main reasons is the problem of watering, because we use tap water to irrigate potted gardenia for a long time, because the chlorine in tap water is very harmful to plant roots, and it is very easy to alkalinize and harden the soil.

Gardenia likes loose, fertile and well-drained acid soil, which requires a pH value of 4.5 to 6.0, and its leaves begin to turn yellow when it is more than 6.5, so to solve this problem, you can try to water the flowers with these three kinds of acid water.

1. Salt-free vinegar mixed with water

Edible vinegar contains acetic acid and various nutrients. Watering flowers with water can not only properly supplement the nutrition needed for the growth of gardenia, but also neutralize the alkalized soil. But can not pour edible vinegar directly into the soil, the concentration is too high, the ratio of water is generally about 1:40, after a period of time can see the effect.

2. Ferrous sulfate mixed with water

Ferrous sulfate is used to raise gardenia, which can adjust the pH of flower soil and promote the formation of chlorophyll, so that gardenia which likes acidic soil can grow exuberantly, not yellow leaves and not easy to drop bud. Ferrous sulfate is used for watering flowers, but also with water, the concentration should be small, about 0.2%, and the frequency should not be too frequent.

3 、 Rain Water

When it rains, if it is convenient, we can collect some Rain Water and put them at home. It is much better to water the flowers than tap water. It is not easy to harden the basin soil. Usually, after the gardenia flowerpot soil is dry, it can be directly used for watering.
