Autumn a lot of flowers to the growing season, the temperature is just right, but also suitable for the season of pot change, then pot change soil should be how to deal with it? Can we recycle it? If it cannot be reused, then for some friends who live in buildings, moving the soil back and forth can be a laborious job.

In fact, the exchanged soil can be reused, but we have to go through a series of treatments to make it full of nutrients and loose and breathable.

1. Because there are a lot of rotten roots and dead leaves in the old soil that has been replaced, they must be cleaned up so as not to rot and produce germs in the flowerpot and make the potted plant sick.

2. Because the original pot soil has been planted for a long time, the organic matter in it has been absorbed, so a lot of pot soil will harden or alkalize, which is not conducive to the growth of plants. We should mix some organic matter with it or mix it with medium with good permeability, such as some rotting leaf soil and large particles of river sand, so that the soil can be loosened again, ventilated and nutritious.

3. Clean up the basin soil and expose it to the sun for a few days to kill the eggs or germs inside, because many insect eggs are in the soil. If you don't kill the eggs, after planting flowers in the future, if a few insects climb out, how bad is it?

We can use carbendazim water to pour it thoroughly or mix carbendazim in the soil to sterilize the old soil and prevent bacterial infection.

This way, the old soil will become clean and safe new soil full of nutrients.

4. If there is too much soil replaced, we can also use old soil to make compost. Autumn leaves fall a lot of fallen leaves. We can put fallen leaves, peel and kitchen waste into a large barrel. A layer of soil and a layer of rotten leaves are mixed together. Sealed fermentation, self-made rotting soil, but this rotten leaf will ferment for three or four months. It will be produced in autumn and can only be used next spring. Then it will become a very nutritious rotting soil.

Of course, if the original potted plant is sick and withered or has root rot, leaf blight, etc., then these replaced soil are not recommended to be reused to avoid future potted plants causing bacterial infection.
