In order to enable design energy to drive urban aesthetics and industrial development, the Taichung Economic and Development Bureau held the first Taichung innovative Design Competition. 20 wonderful works were selected in the final yesterday (4), and the awards were presented by Mayor Lin Jialong himself. Mayor Lin Jialong said that the municipal government competed to host the "design capital of the world" in 2022 and designated this year as the "first year of design." this event saw great innovative design works, and the municipal government also provided media opportunities in conjunction with the Land Gong Association. I hope to shape the aesthetics of the whole city through innovative design.

The final and award presentation ceremony of the Taichung innovative Design Competition was held on the 4th in the city government building. Mayor Lin Jialong presented awards to praise the professional group and the award-winning design teams such as gold, silver, bronze, masterpiece and best popularity of the newly created group, and went to the venue to visit the shortlisted outstanding innovative design works one by one.

Mayor Lin Jialong said that the "2018 Taichung innovative Design Competition" participated enthusiastically. 307 works were registered and 55 were shortlisted. The final election was held on the 4th, and the municipal government also conducted a media match in the Land Gong Association. So that excellent innovative design works can be better used, but also have the opportunity to become brands, the scene can fully feel that the works of both young people and professional designers have good quality.

A total of 307 works participated in the first Taichung innovative Design Competition, and 55 entries were selected, including cultural creation, hand tools, woodworking, precision machinery, woodworking machinery, spare parts, bicycles, toys, environmental protection materials, health, sports and leisure technology, etc., and then the jury selected gold, silver, bronze, excellent work and best popularity awards and other awards from the professional group and the new group, with a total prize of 1 million yuan. Finally, the professional award and the newly created group gold award were won by the CV3 desktop CNC designed by "GREEN MAKER STUDIO" and the Cycling designed by "Lowercase", with prizes of 300000 yuan and 100000 yuan respectively.
