The method of sprouting celery
We have all eaten celery, but its seeds must have been rarely seen. Its seed skin is thick and strong, and its outer layer has oil glands that are impervious to water. It germinates very slowly after sowing, especially when it is hot in summer, so it needs to be germinated before it is planted. So do you know how to sprout celery? Let's come to the pro-agricultural network to get to know it.
1. Sprouting preparation
Before sowing, put the seeds in the sun for one day, then soak in water for one day, change water two or three times in the middle, then fish out the seeds, rub them with your hands, clean the surface, and then rinse with water several times. until the impurities are completely removed.
2. The method of sprouting with clean water
Promoting germination with clean water is a common method of accelerating germination. After soaking the treated seeds for 24 hours, they are fished out and placed in a cool place to dry, so that the water on the surface is dispersed. Prepare a basin-shaped container, put the seed into it, cover it with a wet cloth, and then put it in a cool and ventilated area to start budding, keeping the temperature between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius. Turn the seeds once a day to keep the temperature and humidity uniform. Make the seeds sprout neatly. Wash the seeds every two days to keep moisture and prevent mildew. Dry them after washing, so that they can be sown when most of the seed area is white after a week.
3. Soaking seeds in Minshui to accelerate germination
Put the treated seeds into a cloth bag, soak them with min water and fall into the well, but do not soak in water and keep a distance of 30-50cm from the water surface. The well is originally a low-temperature and humid environment, which is suitable for seed germination. One day later, put it in an environment of 15-20 degrees, wash it with clean water two or three times a day, and sow seeds two or three days later.
4. Low temperature accelerates germination.
Store the treated seeds at 0-1 degrees for three days, which can be done in the refrigerator, and then accelerate the germination at 15-20 degrees. The aim is to shorten the time for germination and make the seeds germinate neatly.
5. Sprouting by changing temperature
After soaking, the seeds are placed in a 15-18 incubator. After 12 hours, the temperature is increased by 7-8 degrees, but it should not exceed 25 degrees. After another 12 hours, the temperature is set back to the original temperature, so that the seeds are rotated every 12 hours and germinated about three days later.
