Zheng Wencan, mayor of Taoyuan, went to the Dajiang International Shopping Center in Zhongli District yesterday (26) afternoon to attend the "2018 Tea Vera Peach Blossom Garden Special Exhibition opening Press Conference". Mayor Zheng Wencan said that the 2018 Tea Vera Peach Blossom Garden Special Exhibition, jointly planned by Wen Foundation, Longyuan Primary School and Agriculture Bureau, was exhibited on the 4th to 5th floor of Dajiang International Shopping Center on the 26th, and on the 10th floor in front of Taoyuan Xinguang Sanyue Station on September 1st and 2nd, holding tea banquet culture. Through the viewing of documentaries and photos of the tea industry, the exhibition of tea-making machines and models, daily tea lectures and calligraphy, and other activities, combined with tea art, calligraphy and tea-making culture, to promote Taoyuan good tea, so that more citizens can experience the tea culture, and develop the "green gold industry" with Taoyuan characteristics.
Mayor Cheng Wen-can said that Longyuan Primary School is the hometown of tea art. Tea culture is concentrated in school education, and a "happy learning tea garden" is built on campus to allow students to experience the production process of planting and collecting tea to kneading and drying. Tea culture such as brewing, tasting and serving tea is welcome to experience.
Mayor Zheng Wencan pointed out that the city government has promoted a number of policies in the tea township, including: the Hakka tea cultural center in Taiwan, the establishment of a Hakka tea cultural center in Taiwan, the development of tourism and experience agriculture 2.0; to assist the Guanyang tea sightseeing factory and to promote the production of flat tea gardens and tea bags; continue to promote the leisure agricultural area of Dabeikeng and promote agricultural tourism; budget for the installation of tap water to tea townships such as the plateau and Gaopingli next year (108) Oppose the plan to set up a natural gas power plant in the plateau; the construction of Longtan No. 2 Interchange Road (Plateau Interchange Road), No. 3 National Highway, is expected to start at the end of this year (108) to provide convenient transportation for tea villages and to promote tea village culture more smoothly.
