I. original place of growth

Mangosteen is native to Southeast Asia and is widely cultivated in Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar and the Philippines. Thailand is the country with the most cultivation. Generally speaking, seeds take about 10 years to bear fruit, and the requirements for the environment are also very strict, so they are very precious.

II. Domestic planting sites

In fact, mangosteen is not rich in our country, but it is also planted. It is also cultivated and introduced in Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, Taiwan and Yunnan. It has very strict requirements on the environment and climate. Taiwan, for example, was introduced and tried in the early 20th century, but because the winter temperature was lower than that in Southeast Asia, the soil could not adapt and failed. At present, there is no actual economic planting, but only a few areas for trial planting.
