What do wild orchids need to pay attention to? Good photographer has also written about it before. Is it better to grow orchids deep or shallow? Don't worry about it. You'll understand after watching this. What we are talking about is whether orchids are planted deep or shallowly. Today, a good farmer is talking about the level of planting.

Whether orchids are good or strong is related to the appearance of flowering in the future, as well as the ornamental value of orchids. Orchid friends all want to raise a pot of strong orchids, but also spare no effort to study and practice. Can orchids grow strong seedlings? In fact, half of the wild orchids were decided when they were put into pot.

The farmer made a comparison with two orchids this spring. The two wild orchids are of the same origin and were found on the same mountain. At that time, the state of the mother seedling was not relevant, so it was more comparable for the experiment. These two pots are wild Cymbidium and are planted with the same flowerpots, the same plant materials and the same management conditions.

When the first pot is planted, the farmer raises its Reed head slightly higher than the edge of the pot. after filling the planting material, a small arch can be seen on the basin surface. The advantage of this planting is that the Reed head of the orchid can be better exposed to fresh air, especially in the late spring and early summer of the peak growing season, when the temperature is high and the environment is humid, if the ventilation can be better, the orchid seedlings will grow better naturally. On the other hand, when the orchid seedlings are young, they are healthier if they can receive more sunlight.

While this pot is relatively low, the low here is not "deep" as mentioned in another article, but it refers to the depth of the orchid Reed head buried in the soil, and the "low" here refers to the distance between the orchid Reed head and the edge of the pot. this orchid is not planted deeply, and the Reed head is not covered much, but its Reed head is at least 4 centimeters away from the edge of the basin. It is this distance of a few centimeters that makes the orchid Reed head unable to directly enjoy the fresh air and relatively accept less sunlight.

As can be seen in this picture, the high-planted Cymbidium has produced more than a dozen seedlings this year, while the low one has only two seedlings.

Only orchids of the same origin are comparable. In this experiment, we can see more intuitively that orchids should be planted higher, don't you think?
