Radish is the most common vegetable in China, whether it is on the human table or fed to pigs as fodder, it is very popular, and radish is widely planted in China. But whether it is large-scale planting or family self-sufficient planting, some problems will be found. Among them, the disease is one kind, and the disease in autumn is the most serious. What are the diseases that radish is prone to in autumn? How to prevent and cure it? Let's take a look at it.

1. Downy mildew

Symptoms: downy mildew mainly harms the leaves of radish and begins to invade from the outer leaves at the initial stage of the disease. The leaves will gradually appear green to yellow spots, gradually expand and then turn yellowish brown, the leaves will not be damaged, and then become polygonal along the veins. When the leaves are wet, white moldy substances will appear on the leaves, which will directly lead to death. Downy mildew is most likely to occur when the average temperature is 16 degrees, and insufficient sunshine, continuous rainy weather, too much permeability and too dense planting are all favorable conditions for the disease.

Prevention and control methods: when diseased plants with suspected diseases are found, timely measures should be taken to prevent and cure them by spraying. If the weather is relatively dry after spraying, there is no need to spray again. If you encounter rainy and foggy weather, you should spray it once or twice every week or so. Available agents are ethyl phosphorus aluminum wettable powder.

2. Soft rot

Soft rot is mainly harmful to the roots, stems and leaves of radish. When the root is infected, the disease usually begins at the root tip, and brown water-like soft rot will appear in the initial stage. Gradually spread upward, the later stage will make the heart soft rot into a mass, and accompanied by bad smell, stem and leaf disease, it also begins to appear soft rot watermark, after drought will stop extending, the root will appear new leaves, there is a clear distinction between the disease and normal parts, there is often brown juice seeping out, causing the whole radish to become brown and soft rot.

Prevention and control methods: the diseased plant should be dug up in time, and then some lime disinfection should be sprinkled in the diseased plant hole. In the initial stage, some related agents such as Chunlimycin can be sprayed to prevent and cure the disease. Spray once a week or so for a week.

3. Black rot

Symptoms: black rot mainly harms the roots and leaves of radish, when the leaf occurs, the leaf edge will generally appear "v" shaped disease plaque, the leaf vein will gradually turn black, the leaf edge will begin to turn yellow, and then gradually spread to the whole leaf. When the root is sick, it will cause the catheter to blacken, the internal tissue is lack of nutrition, and slowly dry rot, but the external symptoms are not very obvious. Poor drainage, rainy weather, farm manure is not fully mature, continuous cropping and other reasons will lead to the incidence of black rot.

Prevention and control methods: if you find a diseased plant, you should pull it out in time, burn it or bury it deeply, stay away from the original place, prevent and cure infection, and then disinfect the diseased plant with lime. In the field management of radish, we should try our best to avoid injury to radish and reduce the wound of radish. In the early stage of the disease, we can use immediate suspension spray for prevention and treatment.

These are the diseases that radish is easy to suffer from in autumn. We must pay special attention to the disinfection of the garden and the treatment of diseased plants when we manage the radish. Reduce the source of disease, reduce the incidence, if there is no timely treatment, radish can not survive the winter, or even can not last into the winter, there will be a large area of death. Therefore, I hope that everyone can pay attention to the diseases and insect pests of radish and improve their own economic interests.
