The difference between bluegrass and Ophiopogon

The middle leaves of bluegrass are long oval, oblanceolate or long elliptic-lanceolate, about 5 to 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. The tip of the leaf gradually sharpens. Both sides of the leaves are smooth and glabrous, and the edges of the leaves have irregular denticulate or coarse teeth.

The leaves of Ophiopogon japonicus are basal and graminelike, about 10 to 50 cm long and 1.5 to 3.5 mm wide, with three to 7 veins and serrulate margins.

Second, the difference between flowers

Orchid head, mostly growing at the top of the stem and branches arranged in a compound corymb, inflorescence about 3 to 6 cm, flowers white or slightly reddish.

Ophiopogon has racemes, about 2 to 5 cm long, ranging from a few to a dozen flowers when blooming, with white or lavender flowers.
