Litchi is one of the more popular fruits, its taste is sweet and delicious, it has been loved by everyone in ancient times, so how is litchi fertilized? In general, the fertilization of litchi needs to be applied flexibly according to different climates, varieties, growth periods, and growth trends, not only considering the current situation, but also making plans for future growth. so how to implement it, let's take a look at it with the pro-agriculture network.

1. Base fertilizer

Base fertilizer is the most basic nutrient for the survival and growth of litchi. We generally need to abide by a principle, that is, the principle of "re-applying base fertilizer". Because only sufficient base fertilizer can make litchi tree grow rapidly, and can also inhibit litchi tree sprouting in winter. The base fertilizer here generally refers to the first fertilization when planting, we mainly use a combination of farm rotten fertilizer and compound fertilizer, the amount per mu is about 6,000 jin and 100 jin, and the way of digging holes is used to fertilize.

2. Growth fertilizer

Growth fertilizer usually occurs in the seedling stage of litchi trees. In order to enable litchi trees to grow rapidly, we usually apply fertilizer many times during its growth period. After more than half a month after the base fertilizer, if the growth of litchi trees is still very slow, then we can apply about 50 jin of urea appropriately. When litchi trees regain their growth, we can add phosphate and potash fertilizer according to about 60 jin per mu. Before it is civilized, the growth fertilizer is basically carried out four to five times a year, each time the same as the second time, but the dosage can be increased or decreased according to the growth of the seedlings.

3. Flower fertilizer

Flower fertilizer means that litchi trees are adult fruit trees at this time, and flower fertilizer can be divided into two stages. the first stage is to promote flowering, and flower-promoting fertilizer is usually applied about half a month before flowering. We mainly use livestock manure and compound fertilizer, which needs about 1000 jin per mu, and then each litchi tree needs appropriate amount of boron fertilizer and zinc fertilizer. The second is the strong flower stage, that is, when the flower appears, we need to do it immediately, because it will thank the flower soon after it blossoms. This time we mainly use potash fertilizer and add an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer. Fertilizer can be applied by spraying, so the effect is better.

4. Fruit fertilizer

After the flower fade, we enter the fruiting period of litchi, and the fruiting period is also divided into two steps, one is to protect the fruit, that is to ensure the success rate of fruit setting, generally, we need to apply fertilizer after one day of fruit setting, we mainly spray foliar fertilizer, which can have a good fruit protection effect, which generally includes zinc fertilizer, magnesium fertilizer, ammonia fertilizer, potash fertilizer and boron fertilizer. The second is the strong fruit period, that is, when the litchi grows to the size of peanuts, we need to start watering strong fruit fertilizer, mainly with the accumulation of farm rot fertilizer and compound fertilizer mixed with water, which is conducive to the expansion of the fruit.

5. Curing fertilizer

Conservation fertilizer is a fertilizer to be applied after litchi harvest, and its main purpose is to prevent the senescence of litchi trees, to prepare for the high yield of litchi trees in the coming year, and to sprout and grow litchi trees all the time in winter. in fact, it is basically similar to the base fertilizer applied in the first year. Conservation fertilizer we mainly use farm manure and an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer to fertilize in the way of ditching, which is conducive to the storage of nutrients, not easy to be volatile, and can be fully utilized in time in the spring of next year.
