Eggplant is very popular in our life, whether it is cooking or snacks, it is the favorite of many people, so there are a lot of farmers who grow eggplant, especially in rural areas. Basically every household will plant eggplant in the season of planting eggplant, which can be eaten by themselves and sold on the market, but the phenomenon of falling flowers often occurs when planting, which seriously affects the yield of eggplant. So today let's take a look at how to prevent eggplant from falling flowers.

The reasons for the falling flowers of eggplant

There are many reasons for eggplant falling flowers, which may be due to insufficient temperature, insufficient or excessive water, poor development of eggplant flowers, insufficient nutrients or improper fertilization, and lack of light. Finally, it may also be the harm of diseases and insect pests, but their commonness is to lead to eggplant falling flowers, thus reducing the yield of eggplant. Then we need to carry out correct prevention and control of falling flowers according to different reasons for falling flowers.

Symptoms of falling flowers in eggplant

For different reasons for falling flowers, although they are all falling flowers, there are still some slight differences, but usually the flowers will fall from the eggplant tree three or four days after blooming. At this time, you will find that some flowers just petals fall, while some flowers drop together, and those who only drop petals are generally harmed by diseases and insect pests, and there are more reasons why even flowers fall.

Control methods of falling Flower of eggplant

1. Temperature

If eggplant flowering is caused by temperature, then we need to pay attention to the best temperature for eggplant growth. We will adjust the temperature to that range. The temperature difference between day and night in daily life is a bit big. So in order not to let eggplant blossom, we'd better adjust the temperature to more than 15 degrees at night, and the temperature should be between 25 and 30 degrees during the day. Only in this way can we ensure the normal growth of eggplant, so that if the flowers still fall, it has nothing to do with the temperature.

2. Moisture

Too much humidity in the soil, or too dry, will also cause flowers to fall, so we need to observe whether the moisture in the field is reasonable. In general, we just have to touch the soil with our fingers, and if it feels wet, it is almost enough. If according to the normal standard, that is to say, the humidity of the soil should reach about 50%, so that eggplant can grow better. So we usually water every other week or so, if we encounter the rainy season, we need to discharge Rain Water from the field, otherwise it will lead to plant disease.

3. Nutrients

If the nutrients in the soil are insufficient, or if the fertilizer applied is incorrect, the flowers will fall, especially at the flowering stage, where a lot of nutrients are needed. As for the flowering stage, we usually use phosphate and potash fertilizer as well as the right amount of urea. In this way, we can achieve a role of promoting flowers and protecting fruits, and we must apply fertilizer in time, so as to ensure that the flowers will not fall, and we must remember not to apply nitrogen fertilizer.

4. Lighting

Eggplant has relatively high requirements for light, and it needs sufficient light during its growing period to maintain normal growth, but the intensity and duration of light should not be too long. Normally, it is best to take about eight hours. Therefore, when planting, it is necessary to consider the problem of light to select the site, or to build a shade.
