Agricultural insurance can be purchased for watermelon planting, flower cultivation and aquaculture
Beijing Times News (Reporter Niu Yinghui) Insurance can not only provide protection for people and property, but also cover our food, clothing, housing and transportation. In July, Beijing is also about to usher in the flood season, torrential rains and hail attacks will seriously affect the growth of crops, while agricultural insurance can wear protective clothing for crops such as watermelons to protect the interests of farmers.
According to Sun Weibo, deputy general manager of the Agricultural Insurance Department of China property Insurance Beijing Branch, at present, the coverage rate of agricultural insurance in Beijing is relatively high, basically reaching about 70%. "many farmers have a high degree of recognition of agricultural insurance. With a small premium, you can protect farmers' economic losses."
According to the official data of the CIRC, the premium income of China's agricultural insurance reached 32.57 billion yuan last year, an increase of 6.2 percent over the same period last year. The data also show that last year, agricultural insurance business provided risk protection of 1.66 trillion yuan, an increase of 19.6 percent over the same period last year, and 247 million insured households, an increase of 15.7 percent over the same period last year.
Sun Weibo said that at present, there are both policy-based and commercial agricultural insurance. Among them, policy-based agricultural insurance is particularly concerned by farmers. Take the Beijing area as an example, "if the premium per mu of land is 100 yuan, farmers only need to pay 10 yuan or 20 yuan. In the event of hail and other hazards, the reparations per mu of land can reach thousands of yuan."
It is understood that taking watermelon planting insurance as an example, in the event of natural disasters such as Frosts Descent or hail, the insurance company will calculate the claim amount according to comprehensive factors such as watermelon growth cycle, damage degree, insurance cost, and so on. Under normal circumstances, after the insurance company staff come to the scene to take photos, the claim can be settled within 10 working days.
In fact, not only watermelons, flowers, pigs, aquaculture and other aquaculture industries are protected by insurance. According to the open-field flower insurance clause, the losses caused by rainstorm, hail, wind disaster and drought are all within the scope of compensation; while pig price index insurance is a kind of insurance with live pig as the insurance subject matter and pig price index as insurance liability, when the average price index of live pigs during the insurance period is lower than the agreed price index of insurance liability, it shall be regarded as an insurance accident, and the insurance company shall give compensation according to the agreement of the insurance contract.
