Some friends want to transform their yard into a small garden, but if they go directly to a professional landscape gardening company, it will cost a lot of money, and they may not be able to achieve the effect you want. Here are some tips for laying your own small garden, so that there is a charming and natural garden in front of the door.

Many people find it too troublesome to decorate the courtyard, but in fact, they have not found their own style. if it is rainy all the year round, the courtyard should do a good job of draining water, and there will be fewer bare places in the small garden. the location of excess soil should be compacted by plants or pebbles to avoid soil spatter.

You also need to add some mulch to grow plants and flowers in the yard, such as the small garden pictured above, the plants are small shrubs with charming fragrance and some succulent plants, such as the common green mage, tequila, thyme and rosemary, etc., the mulch on the soil chooses to use sawdust, which also looks very beautiful, which can conserve water to the plants and avoid soil splashing.

The small courtyard above is very small and is equipped with some low drought-tolerant plants, which do not need to be managed frequently. The plants planted are herbaceous plants and drought-tolerant succulent plants.

The extra position can be filled directly with pieces of grass, or with fallen leaves, sawdust or pine needles.

What I like most is the desert landscape, which is covered with cobblestones, and some friends feel that they are directly poured with slate roads or concrete. I don't think it's necessary, unless it's an aisle to keep the car. Otherwise, I would not choose to use concrete to lay the garden path.

In addition to the cover, you also need to choose suitable plants, such as the south-facing courtyard pictured above, where there is plenty of sunshine, so you can plant some plants that like light, such as common sunflowers and passion fruits. Other locations arrange some succulent plants that like light, and the yard maintains a certain slope, which helps to maintain good drainage and avoid soil water accumulation.

The utilization rate of the courtyard pictured above is very high, with several very tall hollyhocks in the distance, which usually bloom in summer, while some vanilla plants are arranged in other places. such as common lavender, pansy, geranium, verbena, forget-me-not and so on.

Of course, the yard also left a cobblestone path, but also specially installed a relatively rough and simple wooden bench, next to two pots of aquatic plants.

Some golden marigolds are planted in front of the yard, and there are some hairpin flowers that like to grow in the shade.

The small courtyard above is not very sunny, so I choose to cultivate some alum roots that do not need too much light, with about 3 to 4 hours of light every day, and the soil chooses some loose and drained sandy soil. I did not expect it to blossom brilliantly, which still looks good.

The flowers cultivated in the yard should not be single. You can choose some plants that bloom in different seasons, such as primroses and daffodils that bloom in spring, and blue snowflakes that bloom in summer. Of course, you also need to supplement some plants that bloom in autumn and winter.
