Scape extracted from the leaves, slender and curved, white flowers, spring and summer flowering, after flowering into a creeping stem, the top sprouting new plants with aerial roots. The sex prefers warm, humid and semi-overcast environment, and the suitable temperature for growth is 15 ℃ ~ 25 ℃. It should not be less than 5 ℃ in winter.

Selection of containers for aquaculture of hanging orchids

Any container that can hold water can be used to raise orchids, it is best to use transparent utensils to raise them, and you can enjoy the dazzling white roots in the water. The containers of water-raised orchids can be single-layer or double-layer. The single-layer container is made of glass bottles and plastic bottles without bottom holes and planted directly on the hanging orchid. In the double-layer container, the plastic screen (also known as the planting basket) is taken as the upper layer, and the lower layer is a non-porous bottle. The hanging orchid is planted in the upper plastic screen and the root of the hanging orchid extends into the lower bottle.

The method of aquaculture of Cymbidium

1. Remove the graceful potted orchid from the pot and wash the soil.

2. Cut off the old roots and withered yellow leaves. Cut off part of the leaves (old leaves, disease and insect pests leaves), leaving robust leaves, generally leaving 6 to 10 leaves.

3. Insert it into the plastic screen and fill it with blue stone or Maifan stone to increase the permeability and fix the plant. Then put it in a wide-mouth transparent glass bottle and keep it in water.

Maintenance and management of water culture of hanging orchid

1. The roots can not all be immersed in water, leaving about 1/4 of the roots on the water surface, so that the roots can breathe better.

2. Cold boiled water is the best, which not only has no diseases, insect pests and algae spores, but also removes chlorine from tap water, which is more conducive to the healthy growth of plants, especially the roots can keep white and tender but not green for a long time and improve ornamental. Usually change the water every three or four days, but it can be longer in winter.

3. put it in a place with scattered light, except for more sunlight in winter, direct sunlight should be avoided in other seasons.

4. spray water on the leaves every day, the finer the water droplets, the better, and increase the number of times of water spraying in hot weather.

5. Nutrition doesn't matter, there are a lot of nutrients in the water. If there are conditions, it is better to add some nitrogen fertilizer or granular compound fertilizer to the water for about 20 days, with a ratio of 11500 to water. Of course, you can also use Amoy rice water for three or four days (fermentation), take its upper clear liquid, mixed into the water of hanging orchids (mixed with a ratio of 1:10).
