Planting techniques of ryegrass
The lack of green feed in winter and spring is still a factor limiting the improvement of the production performance of herbivorous livestock. In order to solve this problem, planting ryegrass in winter fallow after autumn harvest is an important way to develop herbivorous livestock in Huaibei region. Ryegrass generally produces about 3000 kg of fresh grass per mu, up to 5000 kg. Its stems and leaves are delicate, nutritious and palatable. Nutrients: crude protein 4.93%, crude fat 1.06%, nitrogen extract 4.57%, calcium 0.075%, phosphorus 0.07%. The contents of crude protein and crude fat were 3 times higher than those of local weeds.
Characteristics of ryegrass
Ryegrass is an annual grass of Gramineae with strong adaptability, high yield and alkali tolerance, barren resistance, cold resistance, resistance to diseases and insect pests, many tillers, strong regeneration ability, and high requirements for water and fertilizer. Therefore, we must choose flat terrain, high organic matter content of fertile soil planting, and convenient drainage and irrigation, in order to obtain high yield.
Land preparation
1. Shallow ploughing to kill stubble. Cotton, red taro, soybeans and other autumn crops after harvest, shallow ploughing once, dig out the residual roots left by the former crops in the field, in order to fertilize and restore soil fertility. Shallow ploughing accompanied by raking soil for 2 times can preserve soil moisture and remove stubble and prepare for fertilization and deep ploughing.
2. Apply sufficient base fertilizer. Because ryegrass has a high yield and needs more nutrients, it is necessary to apply sufficient base fertilizer. The amount of fresh ryegrass is closely related to the amount of fertilizer applied. General mu soil fertilizer 5000 kg, calcium superphosphate 40 kg, ammonium bicarbonate 25 kg. The soil and miscellaneous fertilizer is broken and scattered evenly, and the chemical fertilizer is scattered with the furrow, and then the plough is covered into the soil.
3. Deep ploughing and fine rake. The tillage depth is 20-22 cm, which loosens and ripens the soil in the plough layer, which is beneficial to the root growth of ryegrass and increases the ability of the root system to absorb water and fertilizer. It is required to plow to the end to the side, without lying down. While ploughing and raking, the large soil blocks are artificially broken to achieve fine soil leveling.
Sowing seeds
1. Sowing date. The sowing time of ryegrass in Huaibei area is generally slightly later than that of wheat sown in autumn, but because ryegrass is planted in winter fallow land, ryegrass must be sown by soil preparation after stubble. Therefore, the sowing date is on October 20-25, within this range, it should be early rather than late, otherwise it will affect the increase of ryegrass yield.
2. Broadcasting method. In order to facilitate field management, sowing with three-legged wood strips, generally sowing depth of 5 cm, the specific depth should also depend on soil moisture, soil quality, soil preparation and other flexible control, its range should not be too large. When sowing, we should achieve the requirements of "one level, two cleanliness, three eyes, three slowness, three fierceness and one fix".
3. Sowing rate. Generally sowing 7.5murmur10kg per mu, depending on soil moisture, soil preparation quality, seed germination rate and so on.
