As for Wendan's flesh, how to deal with it? Peng explained that at present, the utilization rate of the peel is higher than that of the pulp, and the peel can be made into cleaning, makeup, baking and tea-related products with a wide range of uses. While the pulp treatment is more labor-intensive, the fruit should first "remove the head and tail", and then peel off the pulp by hand and remove the bitter petal fiber. If the petal is not treated completely, it will affect the taste of the pulp into juice or jam, which will affect the willingness of processors to use it.

Farmers in Tainan: it is more helpful to peel processors.

Zhang Wenzhao, an associate researcher at Tainan Agricultural Reform Farm, also pointed out that the processing of Wendan still needs to consider the part of the flesh, but at present, the machine can only solve the problem of peeling and cannot assist fruit growers in dealing with the separation of peel fiber and pulp. It is considered that the peeler may be more helpful to the peel processor.
