There are several kinds of seeds, there are several kinds of diet, several cultures; the disappearance of a seed means the elimination of a food culture.

Since the 20th century, with the development of the global business model focusing on high economic value, many seeds and crops have gradually disappeared from the countryside and the market, and have no chance to be on the table of you and me again. With the decrease of crop diversity, seeds lose the opportunity of new genetic characteristics, and there is a hidden worry of long-term food crisis.

In view of this, in recent years, a series of conservation campaigns have been launched all over the world. Non-governmental organizations in many countries have encouraged farmers to keep seeds, actively hold seed exchange activities, invite farmers from all over the world to participate, and strengthen the energy of seed conservation.

In October 2018, we will hold Taiwan's first national seed exchange meeting.

Please leave the seed in your hand in advance and bring it to the venue to exchange with farmers and horticulturists to prepare for next year's food civilization for our land.

Venue: Po Kwai Road, National Taiwan University (entrance to the side entrance of New Life Road South)

15:10-16:10 seed exchange / farmers who are open to carry seeds enter the exchange booth, exchange + seed exchange

16:10-17:00 request for seeds / people who do not carry seeds are allowed to enter the booth to request seeds (limited, depending on the number of seeds left on the site)
