Plain sailing originated in tropical America, like high temperature, humid and semi-shady environment, green leaves, white Buddha bud, fresh and elegant, is the world's important ornamental flowers and foliage plants, many people often raise in home life, but not many people know its breeding methods. Today, the editor is here to introduce smooth sailing breeding methods.

A smooth farming method

Generally speaking, before a large number of new buds germinate in early spring, the basin should be changed once every year, part of the persistent soil should be removed, the root system should be trimmed, and the new culture soil should be added and planted in the larger basin to facilitate the root system development and growth. Should often give the basin surface loose soil, so that the basin soil often keep loose and breathable, as long as the temperature is suitable, the whole year can grow well.

1. Soil: smooth sailing requires loose soil, good drainage and ventilation, avoid sticking heavy soil, and should be rich in humus sandy loam. Generally, the same amount of rotten leaf soil and peat soil can be used to prepare the matrix with about 1 up to 4 river sand or a small amount of perlite, and a small amount of farm manure or bone meal or rotten cake powder can be used as base fertilizer.

2. Watering: smooth sailing likes to be warm and humid, so it is necessary to provide sufficient water during the growing period and often keep the basin soil moist. But to avoid too much watering, avoid stagnant water in the basin, basin soil is long-term wet, easy to cause rotten roots and plants withered and yellow. In summer and dry seasons, thin-eye sprayers should often be used to spray water to the leaves and the ground to improve air humidity. If the surrounding environment is too dry, the new leaves will become smaller and yellowing, and when serious, they will wither and fall off. The amount of water should be reduced at the end of autumn and winter to keep the basin soil slightly wet.

3, lighting: plain sailing is more shady, suitable for semi-overcast environment, avoid direct sunlight. As long as there is about 60% scattered light, it can meet its growth needs, so it can be cultured in indoor places with bright scattered light all the year round. Summer should pay attention to shade can cover 60% to 70% of the sun, if the light is too strong, the leaves will turn yellow, easy to burn, scorch, leaves dim, lose luster, severe sunburn disease. If the light is too dark for a long time, the plant growth is not strong and it is not easy to blossom. Greenhouse cultivation in northern winter can not shade or less shade.

4. Temperature: plain sailing is a species that likes high temperature and is afraid of cold. The suitable temperature for growth is 20Mel / 28 ℃. It should be cultivated in high temperature greenhouse. It is necessary to enter the house for the winter, and the lowest temperature at night in winter should be above 10 ℃ in order to pass the winter safely. It should be about 25 ℃ during the day, and it will grow well. Long-term low temperature or humidity can easily cause root rot, leaf shedding or scorched yellow, and in severe cases, the whole plant will die. Therefore, in winter, we should pay attention to cold protection and heat preservation, while keeping the basin soil moist.

5. Fertilization: because of its rapid growth and large amount of fertilizer, organic liquid fertilizer or thin compound fertilizer or rotten cake fertilizer should be applied every 7-10 days in the peak growing season, which is not only conducive to plant growth and continuous flowering. The winter temperature in the north is low, so fertilization should be stopped.
