I. the difference in appearance

The malachite grass is about 30-100 cm tall and the branches spread obliquely. The marigold is taller, about 50-150 cm, and the branches are spreading upward.

Second, the difference between leaves

The leaf of peacock grass is pinnately divided, about 2-9 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide, the lobes are linear-lanceolate, and the margin is serrated. Marigold leaves are larger and longer than the former, about 5-10 cm long, 4-8 cm wide, lobes lanceolate or long oval, but also serrated.

Third, the difference between flowers

Peacock grass is a head, solitary. About 3.5-4 cm in diameter, golden or orange in color, with red spots and smooth petals. And marigold flowers will be a little larger, about 6-8 cm in diameter, the color is yellow or dark orange, petals with cleft teeth, not smooth.
