Seed price and planting method of oleander
Oleander, also known as winter, willow tree, peach plum, etc., is an evergreen upright shrub belonging to oleander family. It has large flowers, gorgeous flowers and long flowering period. It is often used as an ornamental plant. It is widely cultivated in all parts of China, especially in southern China. Cultivation in the north of the Yangtze River must be wintering in greenhouses. Let's take a look at the price and planting method of bamboo peach seeds together.
How much are oleander seeds?
The price of oleander seeds is about 60~70 yuan a catty, but the price varies greatly due to the quality, variety and market of seeds. Oleander with cuttings, layering propagation is easy to survive, but long-term cuttings will also lead to variety degradation, so sowing is also a very important propagation method of oleander. Compared with cuttage seedlings, oleander seedlings are thicker, straighter, larger leaves, beautiful plant shape and longer life, less diseases, and easy to produce variation, so it is an important method to select new varieties.
Sowing method of oleander
1, seed collection: oleander natural pollination fruit less, the best artificial pollination (especially double petal varieties), the fruit is purple-brown, oblong bone fruit, mature and crack around December, the seeds will automatically fall when cracking, to be collected in time, dry storage.
2. Sowing method: oleander can be sown in spring and summer. The seeds are sown in the plain sand in the shallow basin. After a thin layer of soil is covered, spray water with a fine hole watering can once. After that, spray every day to keep the soil moist. Germinate in 40 days at room temperature of 10℃, and emerge in 20 days at 25℃.
3, seedling management: oleander seedlings grow to 3~4 true leaves 3 cm high can be divided into pots, seedlings grow slowly and then accelerate growth, usually 16 months can bloom, in order to make seedlings quickly can be moved to the open field culture, cold weather after the pot.
Cultivation method of oleander
1. Watering: Although oleander likes water, it is afraid of waterlogging. In case of continuous rainy days, the accumulated water in the basin should be dumped in time to prevent rotten roots. In spring and autumn, watering should be dry and wet to keep the basin soil moist. In summer, water should be poured once a day in the morning and evening. After entering the room in mid-October, watering should be controlled.
2. Light: oleander likes sunshine and can also adapt to overcast environment, but the flowers planted in shade are less colored, so they need to be maintained in sunny places during growth, otherwise it will affect their ornamental value.
3. Temperature: oleander should be planted in leeward and sunny places. In winter, people should freeze indoors. The room temperature should not be lower than O℃. If the temperature is too high, nutrients will be consumed, which will be unfavorable to the growth and flowering in the second year. If the outdoor temperature is high in winter, soil can be cultivated to keep warm.
4, fertilization: oleander like fertilizer, from the room to the flower (frost) can be applied every 20 days or so thin liquid fertilizer, oleander after the beginning of autumn rapid growth, then can be applied every 15 days or so until before entering the room.
5, pruning: oleander is generally pruned four times, one is after grain rain, two is July, August, three is October, four is winter shear, if you need to flower indoors to move to about 15℃ sunlight, pruning immediately after flowering, otherwise flowers are few and small or even do not bloom.
6. Diseases: oleander is often damaged by brown spot disease. In the early stage of disease, spray 50% benomyl WP 1000 times solution or 25% carbendazim WP 600 times solution. To prevent and control black spot disease, strengthen management and increase tree vigor, spray 75% chlorothalonil 700 times solution.
