Propagation methods of Photinia rugosa
1. Cutting facilities: Photinia chinensis is cut in a single greenhouse, covered with greenhouse film and sunshade net, and a ground cutting bed is established after the ground in the shed is leveled. The width of the bed is about 100 cm, and a baffle with a height of 10 cm and 12 cm is installed around it.
2. site selection and fertilization: Photinia chinensis soil is loose, fertile, slightly acidic to neutral, convenient for irrigation and good drainage, with 3000 kg of rotten barnyard manure and 50 kg of superphosphate per mu, and more than 25 cm of soil ploughing. Insecticides are applied to control underground pests.
3, substrate disinfection: cover the bottom of Photinia seedling bed with a layer of fine sand to facilitate drainage, the cutting substrate can be treated with vermiculite plus peat, or clean yellow soil with fine sand, and the seedling bed and substrate should be disinfected with fungicides and pesticides.
4. Cutting time: Photinia chinensis is cut in spring in early March, in summer in early June and in autumn in early September. The cuttings are cut into leaves and buds with a length of 3cm and a smooth cut.
5. Cuttage treatment: the cut of Photinia chinensis was treated with rooting agent to speed up rooting and improve the survival rate. The suitable cutting depth was 3 cm and the density was 400 plants per square meter. The leaves were sprayed with the mixture of carbendazim and anthrax.
6. Post-cutting management: the nursery bed should be checked frequently after cutting, the water content of the substrate should be kept at about 60%, sunshade should be kept from cutting to rooting and sprouting, and some cuttings begin to take root 15 days later. When all the cuttings take root and more than 50% of the leaves begin to refine the seedlings.
Planting method of Photinia rugosa
1. Selection and purchase of seedlings: when purchasing seedlings, Photinia should choose suppliers who have good reputation and can provide high-quality after-sales service, so as to ensure the purity of varieties, reduce production risks, and choose seedlings with high product consistency, developed roots and no root damage.
2. Transplanting time: Photinia chinensis is generally transplanted in March-April in spring and October-November in autumn, which should be determined according to the local climatic conditions, and the planting spacing should be determined according to the time of staying in the nursery and the cultivation target.
3. Seedling transplanting: Photinia chinensis seedlings should carefully remove the packaging or nutrition bowl when transplanting, ensure the integrity of the root soil ball, dig holes at a fixed point, pile the root with fine soil, and make the root system stretch, gently compact, and pour through the fixed root water in time after planting.
4. Water management: special attention should be paid to water management in the slow seedling stage after planting. In case of continuous sunny days, water should be watered once in 3-4 days after transplanting, and then watered every 10 days or so. In case of continuous rainy days, it should be drained in time.
5. Fertilization management: Photinia chinensis can be fertilized after 15 days of planting. 5 kg of urea is applied every half a mu in spring, 5 kg of compound fertilizer is applied every half a mu in summer and autumn, and 1500 kg of rotten organic fertilizer is applied in winter.
6. pest control: Botrytis cinerea can be sprayed with 1000 times of 50% carbendazim, leaf spot can be prevented with 50% carbendazim or 300 times of thiophanate, and scale insects can be sprayed with dimethoate emulsion or 800 to 1000 times.
