Morphological characteristics

The plant is small. Nearly stemless, rosette ca. 6 cm in diam., later branched. Leaves about 30, dense, thick and bulging, Obovate, about 25 mm long, about 13 cm wide, upper half subtriangular, top obtuse, slightly awn tip, pale green, covered with a small amount of glaucous.

Racemes, flowering stems unbranched, to 12 cm tall, slender, erect or slightly open. Pedicel ca. 6 mm. Flowers 6-9, sepals unequal, up to 6 mm, opening. Corolla ca. 12 mm (excluding the tip of exserted petals), roughly urn-shaped to campanulate, orange. Petals apically conspicuously pointed. Nectaries 0.7 mm long, narrowly oval, very oblique.
