Last Updated: 2024/11/22, There are many reasons why jasmine does not blossom: if it is caused by insufficient light, it needs to be exposed to sufficient sunlight and can be maintained on the south-facing balcony. If it is caused by no pruning, the overgrown branches should be cut off to ensure that there are enough nutrients to blossom. If it is caused by the lack of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, it is necessary to apply less nitrogen fertilizer and more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer.

1. Lack of light

Reason: Jasmine likes the sun very much. If it is allowed to grow in a dark environment during maintenance, its leaves will grow too long, making it difficult to blossom.

Solution: it should be exposed to sufficient sunlight, and it should be kept in a place with light for maintenance. It can be placed indoors on a south-facing windowsill or balcony, and it will blossom only when there is enough light.

Second, no pruning

Reason: the growth rate of jasmine is very fast, if not pruned in time, its branches and leaves will grow very luxuriantly, too many branches and leaves will absorb most of the nutrients, resulting in not enough nutrients to blossom.

Solution: in the process of maintenance, cut off the branches that are too dense in time, so that they have enough nutrients to blossom.

III. Lack of phosphate and potassium fertilizer

Reason: usually too large amount of nitrogen fertilizer, the plant will only grow leaves without flowering phenomenon, especially in the early stage of flowering, must not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer.

Solution: control the amount of nitrogen fertilizer, you can apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, which is conducive to better flowering. Usually fertilization should be reasonably matched, thin fertilizer should be applied frequently, and fermented rice washing water can be used when applying fertilizer.
