Root necrosis will not only affect the absorption of plants, if the wound part of the infection will continue to spread to healthy roots, and finally spread to the plant itself, and this is the common phenomenon of decay and blackening.
For newly purchased succulent plants, most of the succulent plants still need to be trimmed, and those rootless succulent plants are easy to root and die, but in fact, as long as they master the method of rooting, rootless succulent plants will be better fed, especially the big fat meat in Europe.

After getting a healthy succulent plant, don't be surprised by having a lot of roots. The following picture "Daiwa Mini" as an example, the leaves of meat are already very healthy, and there are many roots. Many flower lovers should plant and water them as soon as they get them. In fact, this is unscientific. If you look carefully, you will find that the bottom roots are basically dead.
If you plant and water directly, the new roots will grow very slowly, and these dead roots may induce some diseases after planting for a period of time, it is very likely that the bottom leaves will rot, and the more serious ones will induce the leaves to melt water in the center and the whole tree will die, so it needs to be done across the board! For the future of this little friend, be cruel!

After root pruning, if there are dead leaves at the bottom of the leaves, they also need to be cleaned up.
Insect eggs are often hidden in these withered leaves, and too many withered leaves are easy to cause diseases.

If there is not much meat at home, I still highly recommend washing it with clean water or soaking it with potassium permanganate germicidal lotion, which does not 100% prevent meat from infection or insect pests, but it can minimize the risk of diseases and insect pests, but there are too many in my home! Basically, it's over after pruning and cleaning up the dead leaves, which is the main reason why there are scale insects in my family all the year round.
After cleaning, no matter whether you wash it with water or not, dry the root, turn the meat over, and place the root upside down in the astigmatism area where there is no direct sunlight. It may be extended for 2 days depending on the weather and indoor environment. Anyway, it will be fine for two more days. Anyway, it should be dried thoroughly, so that the wound in the cut position can be healed, and then turned over. Just put it flat on the dry soil (a little moisture at the bottom of the soil is the best). The root system will grow in a week or so.
