A simple method of making acid soil:
1. Collect some withered broad leaves or pine needles and pick them up in the park or in the mountains in summer.
2. Prepare a container for fermentation. First lay a layer of pastoral soil at the bottom and then spread a layer of fallen leaves. Repeat this several times until the top of the container is covered with soil and compacted.
Note: in order to avoid gas expansion in the fermentation process, do not overfill, leave room at the top of the container.
3. Collect some rice washing water to water the whole container. If there is no rice washing water, you can also use ferrous sulfate to mix it with clean water and pour it thoroughly.
4. After pouring thoroughly, it is compacted again and sealed with plastic film, and then moved to a sunny place for sun exposure and fermentation.
According to the current weather, about 3 months of fermentation can be completed, when in use, it is better to expose and disinfect it and then it can be used to grow flowers.
The self-made acidic soil is especially suitable for planting all kinds of acidic flowers, such as gardenia, jasmine, camellia, rhododendron, Milan, etc., which can avoid the yellow leaf phenomenon caused by inappropriate soil acidity and make them bloom more.
