First of all, flower friends should know that petunia is more adaptable to temperature. The suitable temperature for growth is 13 ℃-18 ℃, and the winter temperature is 4 ℃-10 ℃. If the temperature is lower than 4 ℃, the plant growth stops and can withstand a low temperature of 2 ℃. However, petunia can still grow normally when the summer temperature is 35 ℃. In addition, petunia likes to be dry and afraid of dampness, and it needs sufficient water in the growth process, especially in the summer high temperature season, it should be watered in the morning and evening to keep the basin soil moist.

The growth period requires plenty of sunshine, most petunia varieties in the normal sun, from sowing to flowering in about 100 days, if the light is not enough or too much rainy days, often blossom delayed 10-15 days, and flowering less. After sowing, the medium temperature was kept at 22 ℃-24 ℃, and seedlings emerged in 4-7 days. When 2-3 pairs of true leaves appeared in the seedlings, the medium temperature could be reduced to 18 ℃-20 ℃, and 500 times diluted flower organic liquid fertilizer was applied every 7-10 days.

Petunia is relatively resistant to high temperature in summer, generally only a few days after transplanting to shade, slow seedlings, in the whole growing period do not need sunshade. In addition, the temperature of petunia after transplantation should be controlled at about 20 ℃, not lower than 15 ℃. Too low temperature will delay flowering or even not flowering.

Maintenance of petunia, watering always follow the principle of no dry, no watering, watering thoroughly. For potted flowers growing in summer, thin fertilizer should be applied frequently in the early stage of seedling growth, and the organic liquid fertilizer with high content of nitrogen and potassium and low phosphorus should be selected. For potted flowers growing in winter, liquid fertilizer is applied frequently from March to April, and nitrogen fertilizer is applied appropriately according to the growth situation.
