Butachlor is an amide selective internal absorption and conduction herbicide. The pure product is a yellowish oily liquid with slight fragrance. Insoluble in water, easily soluble in a variety of organic solvents. The chemical properties are stable at room temperature and under neutral and weak alkaline conditions. Under the condition of strong acid, it will accelerate its decomposition and can be degraded in soil. Low toxicity to humans and animals, irritation to skin and eyes, and high toxicity to fish. Butachlor is mainly absorbed by the buds of weeds and then transmitted to the whole plant. It can be used both before budding and at seedling stage. After absorbing butachlor, plants inhibit and destroy protease in vivo, affect the formation of protein, inhibit the normal growth and development of weed buds and roots, and make weeds die. When used in clay loam and soil with high content of organic matter, the agent can be absorbed by soil colloid and is not easy to be leached, and the specific effect period can be up to 1-2 months.

Matters needing attention

1. Butachlor has a good control effect on weeds before unearthed, but the control effect of big grass is poor, so it should be applied as far as possible before sowing and planting.

2. The effect of butachlor is good when the soil has a certain humidity. Dry fields should be watered or sprayed before application to improve the efficacy.

3. In the sowing period of melons and eggplant fruits, there is some drug damage in the use of this product, so we should be careful when using it.

4. Butachlor mainly killed monocotyledon weeds and was ineffective or ineffective to most broad-leaved weeds. Vegetable fields with more broad-leaf weeds can be considered to use other herbicides.

5, spray should strive to be uniform, to prevent the local use of too much drug damage, or leakage spray phenomenon.

6. When used in rice fields and direct seeding rice fields, the dosage of 60% butachlor per mu shall not exceed 150cm, and must not be flooded. Generally, the lower limit is used in the south. If the temperature in early rice seedling field is lower than 15 ℃, there will be different degrees of drug damage.

7. Butachlor has poor effect on barnyardgrass above three-leaf stage, so it must be used before the one-leaf stage of weeds, and the seedling heart should not be flooded with water.

8. At present, butachlor is generally not used for weeding in wheat fields. If the soil moisture in vegetable fields is too low, the efficacy will be affected.

9. Butachlor is highly toxic to fish and can not be used in fish culture, and the water from rice fields can not be discharged into fish ponds.
