Soilless cultivation techniques of Cucumber
The soil culture method of cucumber is not particularly applicable in many places. Due to the scarcity of land resources, soilless cultivation technology has been carried out, and many developed countries have basically adopted the soilless cultivation method of cucumber. However, the soilless cultivation technology has not been completely popularized in our country, so today we will learn how cucumber is cultivated without soil.
1. Seed treatment
The seeds should be treated before sowing. The general treatment method is to blanch the seeds with warm water, that is, to put the seeds in hot water of 55 to 60 degrees, and then add cold water to the hot water after 10 to 15 minutes, about 30 degrees. Then soak it out after 5-8 hours, wrap it in a cotton cloth and put it at a temperature suitable for seed germination.
2. Sowing and raising seedlings
After the seeds germinate, the seeds are put into a soilless hole plate for soilless cultivation to raise seedlings. The soilless hole plate generally uses 100 acupoints, each point can put one or two seeds, then sprinkle a layer of peat and vermiculite, and then wet it with clear water to control the temperature of the environment. Cucumber seedlings will come out after three times and four days in a suitable temperature.
3. Colonization
The cultivation bed should be prepared before planting, and the nutrient solution should be prepared. Try to put the nutrient solution into the cultivation bed to see if it can deliver the nutrient solution normally. After everything is normal, when the seedlings have three or four leaves, the seedlings are pulled out from the bottom and moved into the cultivation bed. After planting, remember to water once, and the seedlings grow through the nutrient solution flowing through the roots. After about three to four days, the survival rate can be tested. Basically, it survived 100%.
4. Seedling stage management
A more important step in the management of the seedling stage is to control the concentration of the nutrient solution. In soilless cultivation, the growing period of the seedlings is relatively fast, and it is relatively easy to age. After planting, it is generally necessary to pour 400 to 500 milliliters of nutrient solution every day. Wait until two to 2500 milliliters a day during the development period. When the development of the left melon seedlings is completed, the concentration of the nutrient solution should be reduced in time. Secondly, the temperature must be kept at 15 to 25 degrees left, and the requirements for moisture are relatively strict. When the plant grows to 15 to 20 centimeters, install a bracket in the greenhouse or stretch the lines so that it grows along the scaffolds and lines.
5. Disease and pest control
The most common diseases of cucumber are downy mildew and powdery mildew, and pests are usually whitefly and aphids. Downy mildew is basically caused by indoor humidity and temperature discomfort, generally using poisonous mildew and Prik for control, while powdery mildew is controlled with trimethoprim. As for these pests, there are special anti-pest agents, usually try to get rid of the diseases and insects and remove the damaged leaves.
The above is the soilless cultivation technology of cucumber brought by pro-agricultural network. I hope it can be helpful to everyone. If you want to know more about agriculture, you can follow us.
