Red vegetable moss is a new variety of cabbage heart, which is mainly the stem of edible vegetables. Generally speaking, red vegetable moss is sown every year from July to September, and it is sown scientifically according to different environments in different areas. So sometimes the red vegetable moss you buy is sometimes very sweet and sometimes bitter, which is caused by different sowing times. Today, let's follow the pro-agricultural network to learn how to grow red vegetable moss.

1. Land selection and preparation

The most suitable land for planting red cabbage moss is the more fertile sandy land, but the ability of water conservation and drainage is stronger at the same time. Generally, it will be chosen in the area with abundant water sources. If you prepare the land as soon as possible, then let the land go through the sun for more than ten days. Before sowing, the land will be slightly loosened, and then sprinkle with sufficient fertilizer. Generally, 500 kilograms of farm manure and 200 kilograms of compound fertilizer are needed per mu.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

To select varieties with strong resistance, you should first water the seedbed when sowing, then sprinkle the seeds densely on the seedbed, and then cover it with a thin layer of soil. at the same time, you can also cover it with a layer of withered grass or animal droppings, which can increase the temperature of the soil and make the seeds germinate faster. When the seed sprouts, it should be watered once, so that it has enough water and can grow faster.

3. Planting mode

When the red cabbage moss seedlings grow four or five leaves, they can be transplanted. we pull the seedlings out of the seedling bed and plant them on the whole ground at a distance of 30 to 40 centimeters apart. Keeping this distance can make red cabbage moss grow bigger and more red cabbage moss will grow.

4. Field management

Remember to water them after transplanting. The seedlings that have just been transplanted are fragile and need sufficient nutrients and water to promote the growth of new roots and leaves, so they should be fertilized once about ten days after transplanting, that is, urea is generally used, because urea mainly promotes the growth of branches and leaves, and the effect is very obvious. The red vegetable moss must keep the soil moist during the growth period. If it does not rain, it should be watered regularly, usually every five to seven days, because the red vegetable moss can be harvested and grown continuously during the growth period. Therefore, in order to maintain the soil fertility, it is generally necessary to carry out three or four times of topdressing, basically a little urea and potassium chloride can be applied after each harvest.

5. Disease and pest control

Downy mildew is the most common disease in the growth of rosette leaves of red cabbage, which often occurs in many vegetables, so the way of treatment is the same as that of equipment vegetables, which can be sprayed two or three times with agents for downy mildew. Finally, cabbage moss often has some diseases and insects, such as Plutella xylostella and aphids, which can be treated with common pesticides, and must be treated in time once the disease is found.

6. Harvesting method

The red vegetable moss is harvested in batches, and the growth rate of the red vegetable moss is different each time, so it can be harvested when the vegetable moss grows to about 30 to 40 centimeters, and after harvest, an appropriate amount of fertilizer can be added to promote the growth of the vegetable moss. Basically, it can be harvested once or twice a week, and it must be harvested in time, otherwise it will be useless if it grows too long.
