Okra is a kind of popular vegetable on the market now, its nutritional value and medicinal value are quite good, it is the right choice for people who pursue health preservation now, and the taste of okra is also very good, so now many people begin to plant okra, but there will be a lot of diseases and insect pests in the growth process of okra, so how should we control them, and those diseases and insect pests are more common? Next, let's follow the pro-agriculture network to find out.

1. Blight

The initial symptoms of blight are brown spots on the leaves, which slowly wither if they are not propagated, and even cause the whole plant to wither and die. The reason leading to this disease is that the field water is not managed improperly, usually the growth of okra does not need a lot of water, if we encounter more Rain Water's second weather, we need to discharge water out of the field in time, this can fundamentally prevent the occurrence of blight, and secondly, once the disease occurs, we need to use Bordeaux solution to control, the effect is still very obvious.

2. Virus disease

The virus disease is generally caused by improper planting environment and incorrect field management. its symptoms are that okra seedlings are generally short, and then the leaves are striped and the flowers bloom with impurities. There are two methods of prevention and control, one is to standardize fertilization and weeding during the growth of okra, and the second is to control it through chemicals, which are sprayed with 20% virus AWP400 liquid, which generally needs to be sprayed once every seven or eight days, so that it can be effective.

3. Aphids

Aphids are the public enemy of all crops, even the public enemy of growing crops, which will appear in crop rows in the United States and China, and unlike other pests, other pests have a period of time, and they have been growing beans throughout the growth process, which is very troublesome, so there is a more general agent to control aphids, that is, imidacloprid pesticides. As long as this kind of pesticide can control aphids, it is much more convenient.

4. Ants

Ants are also more likely to appear during the growth period of okra. Ants like to suck pollen on okra flowers, so whenever okra blossoms, it attracts a large group of ants. Before that, we have to take protective measures. We need to spray 48% Lesbon EC (domestic chlorpyrifos) 1000 times on the leaves, stems and roots of okra. Or use sharp strength to mix some food that ants like to eat and sprinkle it where ants will appear, which can also have a defensive effect.

5. Moths

Moth pests usually appear in the season when okra is about to mature, if it is not prepared to control moths during this period, then the loss will be greater, because the original okra can be harvested many times, as long as it continues to fertilize after harvest, then it will continue to grow okra, and then it can be harvested, but moths especially like to eat okra ducks and attach to okra. In this way, it will eat most of the okra leaves, leave some dregs, or bite them all, seriously affecting the quality of okra, so when there are one or two moths in the field, we need to spray 52.5% security EC1000 liquid on the leaves for control, of course, do not spray within a week before harvest, or buy some special traps for moths to trap, so that okra will not be contaminated.
