Fertilization methods of okra
In the whole growth process of okra, the method of fertilization is particularly important. in general, if you want okra to have a high yield, then the fertilizer must be applied well, so during the growth period of okra, when and how to apply fertilizer, and what kind of fertilizer should be applied, the following will be told by the pro-agriculture network.
1. Base fertilizer
Base fertilizer, also known as base fertilizer, is usually applied during soil preparation. Base fertilizer plays a basic role in the growth pot of okra, that is, to make the soil have the most basic nutrients suitable for okra growth, so that okra can take root and sprout. Generally, to grow an acre of okra, we need 100 kg of farm manure plus 100 kg of plant ash and 50 kg of compound fertilizer and 50 kg of nitrogen fertilizer to spread evenly among the fields.
2. Qi Miao fertilizer
Qi seedling fertilizer usually grows seedlings after seeding, because the time of seed germination is fast and slow, so the field looks very irregular and potholed, which makes people look a little underdeveloped. so the first topdressing is usually carried out three days after emergence, this fertilization is mainly to make the seedlings look the same, then we usually use urea to promote the growth of okra seedlings. The average amount of urea per mu is about 100 kg, and fertilizer is applied by spraying.
3. Raising seedling fertilizer
Raising seedling fertilizer can not be fertilized until more than ten days after planting, because some okra are transplanting, so it also needs to adapt to new plots and grow new roots in order to survive, so we have two purposes of fertilization: one is to improve the survival rate of okra, the other is to shorten the growth time of okra, promote the growth rate of okra, and make okra seedlings grow faster. Can blossom and bear fruit earlier. We generally use compound fertilizer to lift seedlings, which requires about 250 kilograms per mu on average, mainly scattered around five centimeters from the root of okra, and needs to be covered with soil to avoid loss of fertility.
4. Flower and fruit fertilizer
As the name implies, flower and fruit fertilizer is a fertilization of okra during the flowering and fruiting period. the purpose of fertilization is to provide sufficient nutrients for okra, and at the same time it can promote flowers and protect fruit. The amount of topdressing this time is a bit large, more than ten times the usual amount of topdressing. Flower and fruit fertilizer is mainly irrigated by human feces and urine, followed by nitrogen fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer and compound fertilizer. Human feces and urine water needs 4,000 kg, and nitrogen fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer and compound fertilizer total 400 kg, which are mixed and scattered in the field.
5. Nursing fertilizer
Conservation fertilizer is generally the fertilizer applied after okra harvest. In general, an appropriate amount of fertilizer is needed after each harvest to avoid plant aging. If the plant is aging, it means that it could have been harvested five or six times, but it was gone after two or three harvests, and the yield was seriously reduced. Nursing fertilizer is generally applied with an appropriate amount of potash or phosphate fertilizer.
