Asparagus planting precautions
Asparagus is a famous lazy crop, its cultivation is very simple, because it has no special requirements for soil, moisture, temperature and other aspects. Regular consumption of asparagus can have a very good anti-cancer effect, and the second is that although asparagus is easy to grow, it is still very rare in the Chinese market, so the price is also more expensive than ordinary vegetables, usually about ten yuan per jin. Since its output is not high, then the following pro-agricultural network to teach you a few tips, asparagus in the planting need to pay attention to a few points.
1. Sprouting method
Before sowing, we need to soak the asparagus seeds in warm water. It takes a little longer than other seeds, usually for seven or eight days, then soaks the seeds in formalin solution for six hours, then wraps the seeds in cotton cloth and rinses them in clean water. Finally, the seeds are wrapped in 30 degrees to accelerate germination. 80% of the asparagus seeds will sprout white, and then you can sow them.
2. Rational land preparation
We need to get the ground right ten days before sowing. In order to have a high yield of asparagus, we usually choose a plot close to the water source. At the same time, we should be relatively flat and try not to have depressions. If so, we need to fill up the depressions. Excavators can be used when necessary. Secondly, it is best to plant in a relatively loose sandy soil, so that the permeability of water is relatively strong.
3. Planting density
Although asparagus can also be produced when the planting density is very low, if you compare carefully, you can find that asparagus with higher density grows better and more vigorously than those with low density, so don't think that the more you plant per mu, the higher the yield. Reasonable planting density is the most important. In general, the best planting density is 25 to 35 cm per plant and 150 cm to 150 cm per row.
4. Scientific fertilization
If we want to get a high yield, we should also pay attention to fertilization. in general, we need to dig a ditch when applying base fertilizer, which is different from the previous ditch, which usually needs to be dug about 50 centimeters, and then pour the droppings of livestock into the ditch, pile up a layer of soil, and water the area where the base fertilizer is applied before planting. In addition to the base fertilizer, asparagus is damaged by topdressing three times of fertilizer, the first time is to break the soil, mainly apply human feces, the second is ten days before harvest, the use of human manure plus a little urea, and finally after harvest, sprinkle some organic rot fertilizer, urea, phosphate and potash fertilizer for maintenance, so that it can grow for the second time without reducing its yield.
5. Effective disease prevention
The main disease of asparagus is stem blight of asparagus. The main methods of prevention and control are cleaning the planting land and using ditch drainage, ploughing and loosening the soil, applying little or no nitrogen fertilizer and applying more potassium fertilizer to make the plant grow healthily and enhance the plant resistance. The second is to spray Bordeaux or 50% carbendazim 800-1000 times, and spray insecticides to control pests. And spray once every 15 days or so.
