Balsam pear is a must in summer, summer anger is more prosperous, eat balsam pear can clear heat to remove fire, can let you have a happy summer, but there are still many people do not like balsam pear, because if it is not handled well when cooking, it is still very bitter, so the editor says a digression here, balsam pear needs to be soaked in water and can be diluted with salt and vinegar. Let's get to the point. Today, what the pro-agricultural network brings to you is how balsam pear needs to be planted correctly. Let's take a look.

1. Seed selection and soil preparation

In fact, balsam pear is also a relatively fragile plant, but after scientific research, there are a lot of balsam pear seeds with good resistance, so we need to choose good varieties with large fruit bearing and good resistance. Balsam pear has so many requirements for soil enzymes, so balsam pear often appears on the balcony, as long as a little poke soil fertilizer can bear melon. But today we want to talk about outdoor planting, so when preparing the soil, we need to reorganize the soil layer as much as possible, and spread a layer of quicklime to disinfect it, and finally sprinkle a thick layer of farm manure to turn the soil over.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

Balsam pear seeds are relatively hard, and if they are sowed directly, the germination rate will not be very high, and the speed is relatively slow, so we usually prevent the seeds from soaking in water for three or four days, then remove and drain the water, wrap it in cotton cloth, and put it under the ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius to accelerate germination. After about five days, we can sow seeds. When sowing, we usually dig holes to sow seeds, that is, according to the spacing of 30 centimeters per plant and 40 centimeters apart in each row, we evenly sow three seeds in each hole, and then cover the seeds with soil, which is generally three or four centimeters thick, and we can wait for the seedlings to emerge after watering for the last time.

3. Field management

The most important thing of field management is fertilizer and water management, in the whole growth process of balsam pear, because the loss of melon is carried out in batches, so it needs a lot of nutrients and water. Generally speaking, balsam pear seedlings need to be watered once when they are three to four centimeters out of the ground, and when the seedlings grow to 20 to 30 centimeters, they need to apply some urea as fertilizer for raising seedlings. At the same time, there is also a very important thing during this period. It is necessary to set up the melon field and let the melon seedlings grow along the shelf, which can improve the melon setting rate. When balsam pear blossoms for the first time, we need to water and fertilize at the same time, this time using phosphate and potash fertilizer, or human feces. It needs to be watered many times when the melon is produced, and finally, fertilizing is needed after each harvest to ensure the next round of melon setting rate.

4. Disease and pest control

The most common diseases of balsam pear are Rhizoctonia solani and powdery mildew. In general, we use carbendazim and chlorothalonil solvent to spray. After spraying about two or three times every ten days, we will be cured. However, if balsam pear is harvested within 15 days, you can not spray any medicine. Balsam pear because its branches and leaves as well as flowers and fruits are bitter, so pests are generally less, but sometimes there are aphids, it can be said that it is an indestructible cockroach, it can be seen everywhere, can be sprayed with Bordeaux solution or trichlorfon solvent.

5. Timely harvest

The harvest of balsam pear can not be too late, can be as early as possible, because the bitter gourd harvested early will be relatively light, at the same time, the melon is also relatively tender, the taste will be much better, the harvest is generally wait until the balsam pear color has a little light yellowish green, too late harvest balsam pear is orange, and there will be rotten gourd, balsam pear can not be eaten.
