Most of us have seen court dramas, so we must be no stranger to safflower, but we may be more likely to take safflower during pregnancy or contact with safflower for a long time will lead to miscarriage. In fact, safflower has some other effects, such as promoting blood circulation and relieving pain, beauty, detoxification, reducing blood pressure and blood fat, and so on. Now many medicines contain safflower ingredients, which are in great demand. The planting of safflower has also increased, but what should be paid attention to when planting safflower? Next, the pro-agriculture network will tell you.

1. Soil

Carthamus tinctorius has a strong ability to adapt to the environment, so it can be planted as long as there is land, but it should be noted that if you want to be high-yielding, you must have some requirements for the soil. it is best to choose the land with strong soil permeability and sufficient nutrients, the land should be relatively flat, not potholed, and close to the place with water as far as possible, so as to facilitate irrigation. Finally, the soil is sandy soil as far as possible. If there is no choice, we can choose the land with loose soil for planting, which can increase the yield of safflower to a certain extent.

2. Time

The appropriate sowing time has a great impact on the yield of safflower, and the sowing time of safflower needs to be planted according to different regions, and there is a certain gap between the climate of the south and the north of our country. so if you are in the south of our country, it is best to sow from mid-October to November, while if you are in the north and south, it is best to sow in March in spring. The temperature in these two periods is basically about 15 to 25 degrees, which is very suitable for safflower germination and growth.

3. Density

Because the way of sowing is different, the planting density will change a little. For example, if strip sowing is carried out, the distance between each plant is 20 cm, and the distance between each row is 40 cm. If it is hole sowing, you only need to consider the distance between each plant, usually 25 to 30 cm. If it is spread, then you will not consider the interval too much. Only after the emergence of seedlings, and then according to a certain distance between seedlings. At the same time, we can also divide the interval according to the fertility of the soil, which is beneficial to the field management and late harvest of safflower.

4. Fertilization

Special attention should be paid to the fertilization of safflower in the growth process, first of all, we need to use farm fertilizer, urea, phosphate fertilizer, zinc fertilizer and potash fertilizer, and then dig the soil and bury it deeply. In the development period of safflower, we need to carry out at least three times of topdressing, each time the amount of topdressing should not exceed 500 kilograms, of which the first fertilization is a week after the safflower seedlings broke the soil, and the second time is when the safflower seedlings grow to about 30 centimeters. The third time is about to enter the flowering stage, and the fourth time is after flower picking, the types of fertilizers are all the same, all potash, phosphate, zinc and boron fertilizer.

5. Management

If safflower wants to have a high yield, we need to strengthen field management. We mainly need to pay attention to weeding, watering and drainage, pruning and heart picking and disease control. Generally, we need to weed three times, and the time of each weeding is the same as the time of fertilization of safflower. We need to water them when there is less moisture to maintain their normal growth, but if there is a rainy season. If the rainfall is relatively large, then we need to discharge the water in the field in a timely manner. When the safflower grows to about 30 centimeters, we can appropriately remove the hearts from some branches, so that it can grow new lateral branches and improve the probability of flowering. Finally, there is disease prevention and control, we can use targeted agents for prevention and control, specific details can be obtained by us.
