In recent years, the planting area of pear trees in our country has increased, so the yield of pear trees has also increased to a certain extent. However, many people are asking why the fruit setting rate of some pear trees is very low, resulting in low annual yield. Is there any solution? In fact, there are many reasons for the low fruit setting rate of pear trees. As long as adjustments are made according to different situations, the fruit setting rate can be improved. The following are some solutions to improve the fruit setting rate made by the parent agricultural network according to different situations. I hope I can help you.

1. Improve planting conditions

The environment suitable for pear trees to grow is generally flat land with fertile soil, of course, it can also be in mountainous areas, but we need to improve the environment in which they grow. First, we need to ensure that the soil quality of the planting land is relatively loose, secondly, we need to increase the nutrients in the soil, and thirdly, the temperature suitable for pear trees to grow is about 25 degrees Celsius, and the lowest temperature cannot be lower than 10 degrees Celsius. Therefore, we need to carry out temperature management. The moisture in the field cannot be too much, which will lead to pear disease. The soil temperature should be kept at about 55 degrees Celsius.

2. Pollinating trees are reasonably matched

Sometimes you will think that pear trees bloom especially much, but the final fruit rate is not ideal. At that time, due to the unreasonable combination of pollination trees, it is best for us to plant pear trees in a herringbone pattern, which is more conducive to pollination in the flowering season. This planting method has great benefits for insect pollination and mutual pollination between pear trees, basically guaranteeing 80% pollination rate. This basically solved the phenomenon of low fruit setting rate.

3, scientific fertilizer management

When planting, we need to apply enough base fertilizer, which can lay the foundation for high yield. Secondly, fertilizer and water management in seedling stage is also important. We mainly use urea to promote the growth and development of fruit trees. Then we should pay more attention to fertilizer and water management for adult fruit trees. Fertilization is needed once every spring, mainly to make pear trees germinate quickly and enter flowering stage. Secondly, when flowering, we should reapply phosphorus fertilizer. And mixed with a proper amount of compound fertilizer, water management at this time is also important, if too little water will lead to flower drop, so there must be sufficient water, wait until after the fruit we need to increase potassium fertilizer and boron fertilizer, this is conducive to fruit preservation, can reduce the fruit drop, so as to really survive.

4. Artificial pollination

The lack of fruit setting is basically caused by uneven pollination or lack of pollination in place, so we can carry out artificial auxiliary pollination to improve the fruit setting rate. On sunny days two days after pear blossoms, we can collect pollen, then leave it for one day after chemical treatment, and then wait until 8 a.m. the next day to go to the field for artificial pollination. The pollination method can be sprayed by equipment or manually smeared. No matter which method, pollination must be uniform, so as to improve the survival rate.

5. Reasonable thinning of flowers and fruits

Under normal circumstances, pear trees bloom more flowers every year, and there are fewer influences from various external factors. There will be small fruits that are quite ripe and well located. However, if there is no thinning of flowers and fruits, many pears will not grow long and will be deformed. In serious cases, they will not bloom in the second year. Therefore, we have to thin flowers and fruits on them. The best way to thin flowers is to beat down the central flower of the fruit tree and keep the flowers next to it. The best way to thin the fruit is to keep one fruit every fifteen to twenty centimeters and beat down the rest of the weaker or diseased fruits so that the pear can maintain normal growth and provide sufficient nutrients for the fruit.
