The full name of BB fertilizer is bulk mixed fertilizer, which is a kind of compound fertilizer formed by mixing several kinds of granular single fertilizer or compound fertilizer according to a certain proportion. BB fertilizer originated in the United States, and the rise in energy prices has promoted the development of BB fertilizer. There are 8000 BB fertilizer factories in the United States, Japan, Canada, Brazil and the United States, accounting for 70 per cent of fertilizer consumption. At present, BB fertilizer manufacturers in China are mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Tianjin and Jiangxi, with a total annual output of only about 500,000 tons.

Advantages of BB fertilizer

The main results are as follows: 1. The overall concentration of nutrients is high, the yield is increased, the cost is saved significantly and the pertinence is strong. Its total nutrients are generally more than 52%, while most of the effective components of domestic compound fertilizers sold in the former market are about 25%, and most of the total nutrients of imported compound fertilizers are 45%, 48%, but the nutrient proportion (N:P2O5:K2O=15:15:15) phosphorus ratio of imported compound fertilizers is on the high side, resulting in a greater waste of nutrients. The nutrient ratio of BB special fertilizer is put forward on the basis of considering the characteristics of crop fertilizer demand and referring to the local soil nutrient supply, which is not only scientific, but also targeted.

2. It has the advantages of simple processing, low production cost and no pollution.

3. The formula is flexible and can be changed flexibly according to different conditions such as crop nutrition, soil fertility and yield level, which makes up for the deficiency or excess of some nutrients caused by fixed nutrient distribution ratio of general-purpose compound fertilizer. BB fertilizer can be used as base fertilizer and topdressing, because of its good solubility, base fertilizer should be applied on the surface, not over the deep soil layer; BB fertilizer should not be applied to fruits, tea and vegetables, but should be applied in strips and holes. The application amount per mu is only 60% of that of imported compound fertilizer.
