Water-soluble fertilizer is a kind of multicomponent compound fertilizer which can be completely dissolved in water, which can be quickly dissolved in water and can be easily absorbed by crops, and its absorption and utilization rate is relatively high. what is more important is that it can be used in facility agriculture such as spray and drip irrigation. realize the integration of water and fertilizer, and achieve the efficiency of saving water, fertilizer and labor. Generally speaking, the formula of water-soluble compound fertilizer is more reasonable, the nutrient is more yuan, and it is more targeted to crops. However, the unreasonable use in production will also cause waste of fertilizer and even play a negative role. Here are some suggestions on the rational application of water-soluble fertilizers.

Apply a small amount of it many times

Applying a small amount of fertilizer several times is the most important fertilization principle of water-soluble fertilizer, which accords with the characteristics of continuous absorption of nutrients by plant roots, and reduces the leaching loss caused by one-time large amount of fertilization. Small amount and repeated application is the most important reason for the high utilization rate of water-soluble fertilizer. It is generally used at 3 to 6 kilograms per mu.

Pay attention to nutrient balance

Water-soluble fertilizers are usually poured, drenched, or applied through irrigation equipment. Especially under the condition of drip irrigation and fertilization, the root growth is dense and large, so the dependence on soil nutrient supply is reduced, and more depends on the nutrients provided by drip irrigation. There are higher requirements for the reasonable proportion and concentration of nutrients. If the formula is not balanced, it will affect the growth of crops.

Safe application

It is easy to burn leaves and roots to prevent fertilizer from burning leaves and roots, especially sprinkler irrigation and micro-sprinkler irrigation. The EC value of fertilizer solution is usually controlled at 1~3ms/cm, or each side of water dissolves 1-3kg, which is equivalent to 350-1000 times dilution. Or spray fertilizer and spray water once. When drenching and pouring, it is also necessary to prevent excessive concentration from burning roots and seedlings. Some growers add 70 kilograms of water-soluble fertilizer to the pineapple, resulting in root death and blackening. The safest way in production is to do experiments with a small amount of fertilizer and reduce the concentration when it is found to be harmful to leaves. It is a feasible way for some large growers to buy a hand-held conductivity meter to monitor fertilizer concentration. It is more practical especially for areas with high salt concentration of water sources.
