Vegetable aphid is a kind of aphid, also known as cabbage aphid, radish aphid, radish aphid, cabbage, cauliflower, turnip and other cruciferous vegetables, partial to cabbage and mustard rapeseed, distributed all over the country, do great harm to vegetables, let's take a look at the control methods of vegetable aphid!

Damage characteristics of vegetable aphid

The vegetable aphid is harmful on the back of the vegetable leaves or on the tender shoots and leaves of the remaining plants, resulting in shortening and bending of the internodes, abnormal curling of the young leaves, dwarfing the plants, affecting the core or heading, and reducing the yield. The damage of seed vegetables can not bolting, flowering and seed setting normally. At the same time, the harm caused by the spread of viral diseases is far greater than that of aphids.

Occurrence regularity of vegetable aphid

Vegetable aphids occur more than ten generations a year in the north of the warm region and dozens of generations in the south. Wingless female aphids breed in warm areas or in greenhouses, causing damage all the year round. In the north of the Yangtze River, the vegetable soil spawned and overwintered, and then hatched into dry mothers from March to April next spring. After several generations of reproduction on the overwintering host, winged aphids were produced and transferred to other vegetables, expanding the damage and having no forwarding habits. Sexual aphids are partially produced in late autumn and mate and lay eggs to survive the winter.

Control methods of vegetable aphid

1. Agricultural control: pay attention to the protection and utilization of natural enemies, strengthen the rational layout of field cultivation and management of vegetable fields, intercropping with high-stem crops according to local conditions, strengthen fertilizer and water management to promote early growth and rapid development of vegetable plants and enhance aphid resistance. Conditional use of silver film and yellow board to avoid aphids can reduce aphid density.

2. Chemical control: when aphids occur in the field in the spot stage, 2000 times dilution of 50% aldicarb wettable powder, 15000 times dilution of 60% ambroxol water dispersions and 20% Kangfuduo solvent 6000 times dilution can be sprayed alternately.
