The University Social responsibility Promotion Center of the Ministry of Education recently held the 2018 University Social practice (USR) Expo to convey the idea that "universities are where there is hope, and where there is a university, there is hope."

This year, 50 colleges and universities and 93 cases of university social practice participated in the exhibition, covering four major themes: "local care", "health promotion", "industrial upgrading" and "environmental sustainability". School teachers and students actually go into the community to solve community problems, including research and development of processing technology, fish education, solving agricultural waste and developing circular economy, etc.

Michael Worton, chairman of the steering Committee for the Development of the University of Arts and Sciences in Paris, France, pointed out in a speech at the fair that public universities are funded by taxpayers, and the public question where education subsidies are spent, whether they are spent on knives, and even do not believe what experts say, and universities are decoupled from society.

Due to the differences in expectations between universities and society, universities also strive to transform and change and realize the spirit of putting knowledge into practice. Michael Worton said that the University of London believes that the university is no longer an ivory tower above, academic research should be related to the daily life of the public, and students should be led into the community to pay attention to the environment, animals, the elderly and vulnerable groups, so that students can exert the spirit of humanity.
