Rose is known as the queen of flowers, it has a wide variety, a variety of flowers and colors, and a long flowering period, so more and more friends like breeding rose in recent years. But summer is the most vulnerable season for rose to get sick. Black rot of stem will appear accidentally in the process of breeding. If it is not saved in time, the phenomenon of black rot will soon spread to the whole plant, resulting in plant death. Here to share with you a few little knowledge about rose stem black rot and treatment methods, I hope it can be helpful to you.

Black rot from the bottom up. Most of the reasons for this are root rot, and potted rose is the most prone to this phenomenon. Due to the limited space in the basin soil, excessive watering and poor ventilation, coupled with the high temperature in summer, the temperature in the basin increased, resulting in root rot. Excessive fertilization of rose in summer will also lead to excessive volatilization of fertilizer efficiency and root burning due to high temperature.

If this phenomenon occurs, the plant should be removed from the basin in time. If it is found that the root system has all rotted, it means that it can not be saved. If it is found that only part of the root system is rotten, cut off the rotten part, rinse the root system, soak and disinfect the carbendazim solution, dry it, and put it back into the sterilized basin soil, the soil must be loose and breathable to prevent the root from rotting again caused by poor drainage in the later stage. Put it in a cool and ventilated place in the early stage, do not bask in the sun, wait for a week, and then gradually give light. Do not rush to fertilize during the period, wait for the plant to really slow down, and then normal maintenance.

Black rot from top to bottom. There are two reasons for this: 1. Bacterial infection. Rose is a famous medicine jar, improper maintenance is prone to a variety of diseases, especially in the summer rainy season, high temperature, high humidity, it is easy to breed bacteria in the basin soil, the phenomenon of black pole. Some flower friends after pruning the rose, the wound is exposed to the air, rain or warm and humid air, it is easy to make the wound black rot and then black pole from top to bottom.

two。 Overwatered or watered in the sun. Flower friends all know that rose flowers like adequate light, and some flower friends water rose flowers at noon in midsummer, which can easily lead to a sharp rise in temperature in the basin, hinder root respiration, and fail to normally transfer nutrients to the branches and leaves of the plant, resulting in black rot of the stem.

When it is found that the rose stem is black rot from top to bottom, the black rot stem should be cut off in time, and the cut can be extended a few centimeters from the black rot part to the healthy stem. After cutting, the wound should be smeared with carbendazim or sealed with wax to prevent reinfection. And observe the situation of the basin soil in time, if the basin soil is too wet, it can loosen the soil in the basin without hurting the root system, strengthen the ventilation and prevent the black pole caused by the basin soil too wet again.
