Now there are many flower friends who raise hanging orchids and gentleman orchids, mainly these two kinds of plants, which are very common and easy to raise. The hanging orchid is green all the year round and is a natural purifier. Gentleman orchid blossoms bright and generous, raised in the living room ornamental value is very high.

In addition, the growth habits of Cymbidium and Magnolia are almost the same, and they can be raised together. Whether it's soil, watering or light, it's all the same. Even changing pots is the same, because both of them have fleshy roots, developed and growing fast. In the skills of maintaining them, many flower friends say that it is good to use fermented rice washing water, which is really worth recommending. But you can't raise orchids and gentleman orchids with things like the following.

"it" is "plant ash".

In the past, I shared a knowledge, that is, "flowers in the north should use more Amoy rice water, and flowers in the south should use more plant ash." The reason for saying this view is that the soil in the north is alkaline soil, and many commonly cultivated flowers (mostly southern flowers) are sour environments. When they come to the north for farming, the soil is difficult to adapt. Therefore, watering with Amoy rice water can reduce the PH value of the soil, making the basin soil slightly acidic, which is conducive to the growth of flowers and plants.

Among them, the most representative acid-loving flowers are Cymbidium and Gentleman. Of course, there are gardenia, jasmine, camellia and so on.

Cymbidium and Magnolia prefer to grow in loose, fertile, breathable and humic, "slightly acidic" soils. It would be a bad thing to raise it with plant ash. Why is that? Plant ash, to put it bluntly, is the ashes left after the burning of flowers and trees. This substance contains a lot of potassium, so it is a good natural potash fertilizer. But it is "alkaline". When alkaline plant ash is placed in the pots of Cymbidium and Magnolia, it will increase the PH of the soil. If the amount is large, it will lead to the death of yellow leaves of Cymbidium and Magnolia on the second day.

Growing flowers in the south can use more "plant ash", that is because the southern soil is acidic, some northern flowers to the south, it is generally difficult to adapt to the local soil PH, so need to use alkaline plant ash to adjust. Only in this way can flowers grow better and blossom more.

In fact, in the process of growing flowers, there is a lot of knowledge and knowledge that flower friends need to understand. If you just apply the skills mechanically, you may kill the flowers. After saying the plant ash, say one more word of rice washing water.

Can rice washing water be used to water flowers without fermentation? Remember, unfermented rice panning water can easily cause flower root burns. Because when the rice washing water is poured directly into the basin without fermentation, it will emit a lot of heat while fermenting in the basin soil. Although the heat is not much, it is enough to burn the cells of the root system. So to grow and water the flowers, you should seal the rice water in a mineral water bottle or container for a week, so that watering the flowers after fermentation will play a good role!

This is the end of the knowledge about growing flowers. Thank you for reading!
