At ordinary times, what we eat most is fruit, which is indispensable every day, but the fruit is a little expensive. If there is a big balcony or roof terrace, you can plant one by yourself. These two kinds of fruits are very suitable for potted domestication, passion fruit and figs, can be planted on a branch, the fruit is full of branches, delicious and nutritious.

Planting methods and tips of passion fruit

There are two kinds, one is to sow seeds, when eating passion fruit, pick out the seeds, then rinse them with clean water, find a yogurt box or paper cup as a nursery box, drill a small hole under it, and fill it with soil. Or sow it directly in a small flowerpot.

After sowing, water and moisturize, and then put it in a place with astigmatism and ventilation, and seedlings will emerge in more than a week.

When there are three real leaves, take off the nursery box directly, transplant it into a large flowerpot, and pay attention to protecting the root system, even in the new pot.

Another method is cutting, which is very easy to survive. Use annual or longer passion fruit branches, about 20 cm, with two or three bud spots.

Cutting directly into the breathable and moist soil, shading and moisturizing, usually take root in a month, and gradually grow new leaves.

When the root system is strong, you can take part of the old soil and transplant it into a large container, and one plant in each pot is enough.

When the seedling grows to 30 centimeters, it can build a shelf for it to climb, and then wait for it to blossom, hang and pick fruit to eat.

Planting methods and tricks of figs

From planted relatives and friends, cut a healthy and sturdy branch back, about 20 centimeters, at least two buds. Soak it with potassium permanganate or other antiseptic.

Prepare a small flowerpot and put it in pure sand, or peat soil plus vermiculite and so on.

You can also use larger paper cups, plastic cups, or beverage bottles, not the top, and then install soil cuttings.

After cutting, the branches are gently compacted and placed in a shaded and ventilated place. The soil is moisturized but does not accumulate water, and it will slowly take root in less than a month.

As the roots grow more and more, you can take the soil out of the drink bottle and plant it directly into a larger and deeper flowerpot.

Put some base fertilizer, pour enough water after planting, put it in a place where the ventilation and sunshine is not strong, and so on, you can normally water and bask in the sun and maintain it after more than ten days.

In this way, you can also grow good figs at home. When ripe, the fruit is very sweet.
