Dahlia is widely cultivated everywhere because of its various gestures, bright colors, long flowering period, strong adaptability and easy cultivation. It can also be used as pot ornamental and cut flowers in addition to arranging flower beds.

Cutting propagation can be carried out from early spring to summer and autumn, and the cuttage survival rate is the highest in the greenhouse from March to April. The root tuber was planted in rotten leaf soil, the terminal bud was exposed to the soil surface, and the temperature in the greenhouse was kept at 15 ℃-22 ℃. When the terminal bud grew to 8 cm, a pair of basal leaves were left, cuttings were cut, and transferred to a sand bed. It could take root in 15-20 days, potted after 30 days, and could bloom in the same year. Can also be in the stem and leaf growth period, cut the stem nodes with axillary buds, inserted into the sand bed, 15-25 days after the root, the survival rate is high.

After rooting, the cuttings can be planted in a 5 cm diameter seedling tray, and the temperature in the greenhouse is controlled at about 16 ℃. It was planted in a 12-15 cm diameter basin after 30 days. The foliar surface was sprayed 1-2 times with 0.05% murine 0.1% Dahlia 10 days after planting to control the height of the dahlia. Can also wait for the seedling height of 15 cm to pick the heart once, increase branches, promote its more flowering. The flowers should be removed in time after withering, which can not only reduce the nutrient consumption, avoid the mildew of residual flowers affecting the growth of stems and leaves, but also promote the formation of new flower branches and prolong the flowering time. In the process of growth, watering should be strictly controlled to prevent the excessive growth of stems and leaves and make the stems thick and flowers big. In high temperature in summer, spraying more water is beneficial to the growth of stems and leaves, but the basin soil should not be too wet. When the plant withered slightly before frost, cut off the stems and leaves, leave the base 10-15 cm to pilling, dry for 1-2 days until the epidermis was slightly dry, or buried in wet sand, keep the temperature at 5 ℃-7 ℃ to prevent freezing and mildew caused by high temperature and humidity.

The common diseases in pest control are powdery mildew and brown spot. In addition to paying attention to ventilation, 50% methyl topiramate wettable powder can be sprayed 1000 times. Aphids and red spiders often occur in summer, and 1000 times of triclofenac EC can be sprayed.

General regulation of flowering period: select varieties of different flowering stages and cut by stages. For example, early flowering varieties are cut in June, late flowering varieties are cut in late April and early May, and bloom on National Day. Promoting cultivation: early flowering varieties were planted in greenhouse, budding in January and potting in February. The night temperature should not be lower than 15 ℃ and the daytime temperature should be kept at 20 ℃-22 ℃. It could bud in late March and bloom in early May. Due to the lack of light in late winter and early spring, artificial light is needed to increase the day length to 14 hours. Winter cut flower cultivation: supply New Year's Day, Spring Festival cut flowers, can be used as facility cultivation. Early flowering varieties were selected to pick the heart of the mother plant from May to June to keep the new shoots strong for ear harvesting. It was cut in July, planted in early August, and picked from August to September. New Year's Day can blossom. The sun should be shaded properly during the high temperature period from July to August, artificial light should be added to 14 hours a day after September, the temperature should be heated when the temperature drops in October, the temperature should not be lower than 8 ℃ at night, and ventilation should be needed when the temperature is above 25 ℃ during the day.
