Blind spots of feed use in small-scale pig farms

At present, the pig industry is on the edge of profit and loss, and cost control has become the focus of pig farm management, but in small-scale pig farms, there are still many blind spots in the use of feed. Mainly manifested in: 1, fattening stage protein extraction, regardless of the high cost. In rural areas, pig farmers feed large quantities of bean cakes or peanut cakes at the pig fattening stage. They think that only by feeding pigs in this way can they grow quickly and the meat can be firm. In fact, this is wrong. During the fattening stage, pigs focus on growing fat rather than muscle, so they do not need a large amount of protein feed (such as bean cakes or peanut cakes). In addition, bean cake or peanut cake contains a lot of unsaturated fatty acids, which can soften and yellowed pig fat, which not only does not make the meat stronger, but reduces the meat quality. 2. The raw meal is cooked before feeding the pigs, and some of them are still stewing. The technology of feeding pigs with raw feed has long been popular, but many rural pig farmers still adopt the mode of feeding pigs with cooked food. they think that pigs are easy to gain weight when they eat cooked food, which is very wrong. In fact, after the feed is cooked, almost all the vitamins are destroyed and the protein in the feed is denatured. According to the experiment, 20% of the nutrients in the feed are lost during cooking, and the loss of nutrients in the green feed is even greater. If it is put in the pot for a long time during stewing, nitrite poisoning will occur during feeding, resulting in the death of pigs. 3. The higher the protein, the better. For fast weight gain, it will exceed the standard. Of course, the growth and development of real lean pigs need enough protein, and the standard content of protein in feed should be 17% for piglets, 15% for middle pigs, and 13% for big pigs. Some people randomly exceed the normal index in order to make pigs grow faster. Due to the high protein content, pigs can not be completely digested and absorbed after eating, and too much protein is fermented in the digestive tract, resulting in nutritional diarrhea. 4. Faeces are black and digested well, regardless of low and high copper content. The index to really distinguish the quality of digestion should look at the amount of feces of pigs and the shape of their feces. Pigs with normal digestion defecate 3-4 times a day, smooth and round, with moderate hardness and softness, while the color of feces is determined by the breed structure of the diet and the trace elements and drugs contained in the feed. What people call fecal black is only caused by the high content of copper in the feed. 5. The color of the feed is yellow and tastes good, and sweet is good feed. Feed composition (concentrated) is mainly protein diet, such as: soybean meal, cottonseed meal, rapeseed meal, fish meal and so on, in which soybean meal is yellow. People say, some kind of feed is good, the color is yellow, because it is pure soybean meal. In fact, the quality of the diet can only depend on whether its nutritional structure is reasonable, whether it is soybean meal or miscellaneous meal, as long as its nutritional composition is reasonable and suitable for the growth and development of pigs, it is a good feed. As for taste, it can increase feed intake and achieve weight gain, which is good for piglets, but later fattening pigs need to control feed intake and prevent fattening. 6. To judge whether the feed is good and good, and the skin is red and the hair is bright. It can be said that bright red fur is the performance of healthy pigs, but if the growth and development of pigs are normal and in good health, it is not necessary to pursue the index of bright skin red hair. According to this misunderstanding, some feed factories add some state-banned drugs to their feed to make their skin red and shiny, which is not desirable, and the pork they produce will also cause harm to human health. -- Thank you for sharing.
