With the progress of modern bioengineering technology and the improvement of the level of commercial production of biological products, biological pesticides have been more and more widely used in agricultural production in recent years, and achieved good results. However, many farmers have a vague understanding of bio-pesticides.

Some think that chemical pesticides can not be used after the application of biological pesticides, or that the era of chemical pesticides is coming to an end, opposing biological pesticides with chemical pesticides; some think that food without biological pesticides can not be called pollution-free food, with one-sided emphasis on the role of biological pesticides. Some people think that biological pesticides are good or good, but the effect is slow and the intuitive effect is poor, leaving an ineffective impression on farmers who are eager to prevent and cure pests; some farmers mix biological agents with fungicides or acid compound liquid, resulting in the loss of control effect. All these hinder the healthy and orderly promotion and application of biopesticide. Therefore, we should have a comprehensive understanding of bio-pesticides and master the technology of correct use.

First of all, we should see the advanced nature of biological pesticides. There are many contents of biological pesticides, including microbial pesticides, biochemical pesticides, genetically modified biological pesticides, natural enemy biological pesticides and botanical pesticides. The application of biological pesticides can kill a variety of diseases and insects, produce pollution-free green food, reduce environmental pollution, ensure the safety of people and animals, protect natural enemies, and fifth, diseases and pests are not easy to produce drug resistance. However, biological pesticides are only one of the components of pesticides, which can not replace chemical pesticides at present.

Secondly, it is necessary to understand the action mechanism of biological pesticides. The toxicity of biological pesticides to diseases and insect pests has a gradual process. For example, efficient Bt first paralyzes the nerves of pests, and then destroys their internal organs to death, which takes 1-3 days. Another example is an insect virus, where the nucleic acid of a virion enters the body of a pest and absorbs nutrients from the insect, causing the cell tissue to disintegrate and die, which takes 3 to 5 days. Although the intuitive effect of biological pesticides is slower than that of chemical pesticides, the harmful function of diseases and pests has been suppressed or exists in name only. Therefore, it must be applied reasonably according to the characteristics of these pesticides.

Third, biological pesticides should be applied correctly. First, according to the occurrence forecast of diseases and insect pests of the local plant protection department, biological pesticides should be applied a few days in advance; second, they should be used strictly according to the application dose, and the application concentration should not be increased or decreased at will; and third, in order to improve the control effect and safety performance, it can be mixed with some low-toxic chemical pesticides to reduce the public hazards of high-toxic pesticides as far as possible. However, high-efficiency Bt is prohibited to be mixed with fungicides and acid compound solution, and can not be used in mulberry garden; fourth, biological pesticides can not be exposed to sun or moisture; fifth, choose to use medicine in sunny afternoon or cloudy day, and should be re-sprayed once after rain.
