(Agricultural Wealth Network) Agaricus bisporus production developed rapidly, forming a certain area and scale, but the yield is not very high, especially the dead mushroom problem, which has a great impact on the yield and economic benefits. We summarize the following new prevention and control measures for your reference.

1. Reasons for dead mushrooms:

Sustained high temperature, poor ventilation, insufficient nutrients, improper water use, hypha aging, pH discomfort, mushroom over-dense and over-high position, pest damage, pesticide abuse and so on can lead to the death of Agaricus bisporus.

II. Prevention and control measures:

1. Prepare the culture medium. The growth and development of agaricus bisporus, like any organism, need sufficient nutrition base, in order to make mushroom cultivation obtain high yield, avoid the phenomenon of mushroom bud death due to malnutrition, in the preparation of culture materials, the required amount of feed 30~35 kg/square meter, and carefully do a good job of stacking and fermentation of culture materials, which is conducive to overcoming the mushroom death due to insufficient nutrition in the later stage of mushroom production, so as to obtain high yield.

2. Select high-quality strains. Select the clock with strong mycelium growth. The culture medium should have sufficient nutrients, the culture room should be clean and sanitary, and the air should be fresh. During the culture process, temperature changes should be checked frequently to make hyphae grow at appropriate temperature and eliminate contaminated strains in time.

3. Cultivate at the right time. Generally, the materials are prepared and stacked in August and sown in September.

4. Scientific water use. Water management should be based on weather, mushroom production, according to the time, sunny days more spray, rainy days less spray, mushroom more frequently spray, mushroom less careful spray.

5. Ventilation. Mushrooms must absorb oxygen and excrete carbon dioxide for normal growth and development. High concentration of carbon dioxide is harmful to the development of fruiting body, long-term poor ventilation in mushroom shed, excessive concentration of carbon dioxide and insufficient oxygen have adverse effects on mushroom growth and development. Therefore, ventilation should be paid attention to during cultivation.
