(Agricultural Wealth Network) Pesticides should be stored separately: pesticides are toxic to humans and animals, and even some pesticides are highly toxic to humans and animals. Therefore, when storing, it must be placed in a safe place to prevent human and animal contact, and it must not be close to food, feed and water sources. It is best to lock them in the cabinet and store them separately.

Second, placed in a dark and dry place: most pesticides have the property of accelerating decomposition in light, so pesticides are generally contained in opaque containers, powders or wettable powders, soluble powders, granules, etc. in the storage process, will automatically absorb moisture in the air and agglomerate or accelerate decomposition, affecting the control effect of pesticides, try to store pesticides in dry and ventilated places.

Third, can not be stored for too long: the storage process of pesticides, in fact, is also a process of decomposition failure, therefore, pesticides are best used now to buy, a small amount of pesticides should also be avoided for too long. The bottle of pesticide that has been opened should be re-tightened when stored, and then the seal should be smeared with soap or butter, vaseline and other substances to seal it. Open bagged pesticides should be compacted during storage, squeeze out the air in the bag, and then tighten the bag mouth with thin thread.

Fourth, pay attention to maintain the temperature: the temperature can not be too high or too low. The quality of most pesticide powders is easily affected by high temperatures. If the temperature is too high, pesticides will easily melt, decompose, volatilize, and even burn and explode. Some emulsion pesticides are easy to destroy their emulsification performance after encountering high temperature, reducing the efficacy, while some bottled liquid pesticides are easy to freeze when encountering low temperature, forming blocks, or making the bottle freeze crack. When storing such pesticides, they should be kept at room temperature above 1 ℃.
