The pressing vine of watermelon
The pressing vine of watermelon is to improve the ventilation and light transmission condition of plant branches and leaves, improve photosynthetic efficiency by reasonably distributing the position of watermelon vines on the border surface, and at the same time reduce and prevent the branches and vines from swaying with the wind. Prevent the strong wind from causing the leaves to rub the melon embryo and cause fruit drop. In cultivation, the growth potential of the plant can also be adjusted by pressing the vine, pressing a large piece of soil near the plant growth point to slow the growth of the vine; when the growth potential of the plant is weak, it should be pressed gently, that is, the part of the vine is far away from the apex growth point and press the small soil clod to promote the growth of the vine. There are two kinds of pressure: open pressure or dark pressure. Digging a 3 cm deep long pit and burying the melon vine in the pit is called secret pressure. The direct pressing of the earth block is open pressure.
