Last Updated: 2024/11/10, Succulent, this is a lot of people like to raise, but not everyone can raise succulent, succulent plants on the basin is divided into two cases, tidal soil on the basin and dry soil on the basin, in fact, part of the wet soil and dry soil mixed evenly.

Succulent, this is what many people like to raise, but not everyone can raise succulent plants well. The upper basin of succulent plants is divided into two cases, the upper basin of tidal soil and the upper basin of dry soil. Chao soil is actually a part of wet soil and dry soil evenly mixed to produce soil, and the air permeability is very good, the advantage of giving succulent plant Chao soil pot is that it can immediately supply water to plant roots and induce new roots. Dry soil is naturally dried soil, because there is less water in the soil, so it is difficult for fungi to reproduce, and because the damage to the roots of succulent plants is relatively small in the process of potting, 24 hours after the potting of dry soil, the first watering can be carried out.

Generally speaking, plants that need to be put on the pot can be put on the pot after the root is pruned to dry the wound. Use slightly wet soil as far as possible. Do not supply water. What is slightly wet soil? many beginner flower friends do not have a scale to measure. How to be slightly wet? use our hands to feel, after mixing the soil, give some water, pinch the soil into a mass, loosen the hand, and the soil will spread out. If you can't grasp it well, you can do it. That is, to grasp the soil with your hands, there is no wet feeling on the hands, and the soil looks wet, so it is best for the soil to pot the plants at this time.

A flower friend said that I was also a succulent novice. When I first received the seedling, I didn't read the post. I directly planted it and watered it thoroughly to slow the seedling in the shade. Anyway, it was treated like other plants. Later, when I read the succulent posts, they all said that succulent plants should be planted in wet soil. I was very nervous at that time, afraid that the seedlings would not survive, but now I see that they all live well. When I changed the basin two days ago, I found a lot of new roots popping up. By the way, my soil is relatively breathable, using ceramsite, cinder, perlite, vermiculite and a little bit of garden soil.

Why should the roots be dried before potting? It is to avoid fungal infection, the same dry soil plays a similar role, when the humidity is not enough, it will inhibit the reproduction of fungi, after the dry soil on the basin, the root of the meat can repair itself in a dry environment, after an interval of two days, it can be watered normally, so the dry soil of succulent plants also has advantages. If you feel that the basin soil is too dry during the slow seedling period, you can spray a thin layer of water mist or fungicide on the soil surface every day, just to increase humidity. Water must be supplied decisively after the slow seedling stage, otherwise the plant will continue to malaise, weakness and leaf loss due to lack of water, and may increase mortality.

There is no fixed standard for how long after succulent plants are watered. Some like to water the pots, and some like to dry them for a few days, but they are all alive and well, so novice flower friends should not think that succulent plants are required to be watered for a few days. It mainly depends on the potted soil and the humidity of the potted soil when it is just planted. The succulent plants on dry soil can bask in the sun, which is beneficial to the repair of plant roots. Generally speaking, in the case of sufficient light, the succulent root can be completely repaired at an interval of 24 hours.

Personally, I suggest that pottery basin is the best partner for the succulent plants of Sedum family. Twelve volumes can choose resin or plastic floral utensils. If you are an "appearance supremacist", you can choose a porcelain basin, but there must be holes in the bottom. Don't think about ironware, rattan baskets and so on. Rusting and mildew can drive you crazy, which may not be obvious at first, but you will know over a long time, which is tantamount to sending succulent plants into the mouth of a tiger.
